Well me and my boyfriend are currently driving back to Manchester after a lovely day out in the Lake District however on route, the dreaded happened - we drove over a particular rough patch in the road and got a puncture! We attempted to change the tire ourselves but to make matters worse we didn't have the right equipment so I ran over to the first place I found which happened to be The Lodore Falls Hotel and what a good decision that turned out to be! The most decent, kind and helpful gents we could have asked for! They came out in the pouring rain, got the tire changed and sent us on our way! Massive thank you to all of the team and especially to Adrian, Matt and the receptionist who offered his assistance in the first place, you didn't have to help us out but we're so glad you did, we couldn't have managed without you!! A fantastic group of people and we hope to come back in the near future and actually stay at the hotel!
We found this a very warm and friendly hotel, everything was first class and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and attentive.
Purchased some pots of coffee which was amazing. The service was professional and the hotel is run to an extremely high standard. Seen some people being served some food and that looked incredible too. Do not hesitate if considering a visit.
Stayed for 3 nights with my mum. We had booked two single rooms which were upgraded complimentary to double rooms on arrival.The rooms were luxurious. What a lovely thing to do. They were fell facing, looking on to building site. We were out during the day when the work took place, so didn't disturb us. Breakfasts could be improved, eggs not cooked right twice. Evening meals were very good. We had booked DBB and there was a varied choice up to 5 courses from 2 menus. Restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. We had an enjoyable stay and the bar/lounge area was relaxing and chilled.
We took the ferry from Keswick and stopped off for food and drinks. The waiters were very friendly and the service was exceptionable. We sat outside looking at the breathtaking views. Our only negative was the disruption caused by an extension being built. Hopefully the next time we visit, this will have been completed. Highly recommended for all visitors including walkers, cyclists and dog owners.
Our room was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The WiFi was incredibly slow and they are doing some major construction. I would start there again, maybe when they are done with the construction.
Undergoing a bit of an overhaul but nice place for the price if you get one of their offers.
The hotel is lovely great location great food and it's got fantastic views. The rooms in general were nice but the room we got was round the back and it was hot so we wanted to open the window. We could not do this because of the noise being made by what i can only guess was the boiler room. I would stay again but I'll probably try the other hotels in the valley before doing so
Beautiful hotel. Easy walk from the lake boat. Unfortunately the visit marred by somewhat confused staff, who bristled at us for their mistake. Couldn't wait to get out; could've been so much better.
