The Lofthouse Promotions Description
After working nomadically in schools, colleges, universities and other creative business spaces all over Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire for the last 5 years our company Greenshoots (www. greenshootsnottingham. co. uk) has now managed to acquire a home at The Lofthouse Unit 6, 35 Warser Gate, Lace Market, Nottingham, NG1 1NU. We plan to utilise the space to provide creatives from our area with a place that they can get their artistic juices flowing in and show the world what they can do. We will be running the education side of our business from here for the foreseeable future but also will be putting on performances, films, bands, art workshops and providing space for community groups to run a variety of projects including a community choir, Women Into The Future, Women into Broadcasting and Into Film, a project that provides education through film making for 14 -19 year olds.
As we receive very little outside funding our main room also works as a venue for performing artists, bands and exhibitions which is open to the public at certain times and has a bar that provides much needed revenue to help the whole endeavour to work ! !
We now have a full on licence to sell alcohol at our events which will help us raise revenue to enable the courses to continue to run for FREE. We are aiming to add a venue page to our online presence very soon to enable customers and clients to keep up-to-date with our events and courses.
In the last 6 years we have not charged anybody a penny to partake in any of our courses and The Lofthouse as a venue will help our business be sustainable and help us to continue to provide FREE classes for all ! !

The Circle of Light: Youth Music Project will create the opportunity for young people in Nottingham to get involved with the creation of a professionally recorded album at the state of the art music and performance hub The Metronome! It will be comprised of FREE workshops that take place between 15th July - 2nd August and feature some of Nottingham's most talented creative...s including:
