We don't have any school bookings today, so it's a lovely day to bring your little one if you are free...

User

We've just had our sons 6th birthday party here today and it was amazing! The staff were excellent, very polite and helpful, I never knew there was so much stuff for the kids to do here! I totally recommend this place, it's awesome!

User

We visited the Lookout Discovery Centre today, having an amazing morning. The boys were too excited to sit still together anywhere long enough to take a good photo!

User

We just got in from a fantastic time at the discovery centre for my daughter's 5th birthday party and it was fantastic from start to finish! I'm 37 weeks pregnant so was looking for somewhere where I could do the minimum but the kids still have an amazing time and could not have asked for more with the look out! Price per head included all children spending over an hour in the exhibits with a wonderful member of their staff, meeting Eric the Owl and being fed and watered! I also ordered their party bags which were great value and ready upon arrival! Not only that, the lovely staff also tidied the room once the party was done! I could not fault any part of the process and would highly recommend their parties to anyone! Thank you!

User

We had a great day today and Yucky You was a fabulous show. Great value family day out I only wish they had more room for a large cafe with wider menu choice and more tables.

User

We had a birthday party here today for our 6 year old son. It was brilliant staff were all great. Kids had a fantastic time and all staff were really accommodating and professional.

User

Took my 6years old today they had a great time..small place but there is a lot to do..nice play ground outside..go ape over price did not go there..will visit look out discovery centre definetely..reasonable entree price and you get £2 parking back.

User

Thank you yet again the look out, my 2.5 year old spent 3 and a half hours at toddler day and we still didn't do everything! I love the new exhibitions, in particular the ball run upstairs, my toddler is obsessed with marble runs so this was a huge hit and as today seemed quite quiet we played there for ages! We painted, we did sticking, we built things and generally messed about with science. We even enjoyed the sun and messed about outside on the fab nee play equipment. My 5 year old was jealous we went without him so will definitely be back again soon. Thank you

User

My son had a brilliant afternoon today. He especially loved the magnetic ball run and the construction area. He liked it so much he didn’t want to leave. Thank you to all the brilliant staff who were really engaging with him! And for the lovely little birthday card and gift he got given.

User

I've been to the Look Out Discovery Centre twice now and love it, my children are 5 and 2 and they both thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Entry is reasonably priced and there's lots of different things to do and see. My kids particularly loved the building site, the water trough and the magnetic wall thingy at the top of the stairs (I loved that too!!). They would have stayed and played for hours given the choice!! The outdoor play ground is also great for all ages. I will be returning soon.

User

Had my daughters 7th birthday party here today and it was fab. Our host Abbie was great with the girls and they loved the science demo with Shane, and not forgetting the special visit from Eric. Food was lovely ( just maybe different sandwich fillings as tuna mayo and egg mayo not popular with our kids) but a nice fresh selection. With the great weather we were then able to make the most of the fab outside play area. Would highly recommend as great value for money.

User

A big thank you yo all the friendly staff at the Lookout cafe, for allowing my daughter and her 14 friends to sit down and warm up after their Go Ape party. They were cold and tired and the hot chocolate and smiling faces cheered them up! A special thanks to the café manager!

User

Yesterday we visited The Look 👀 Out centre, It was very good, my daughter enjoyed badge making and testing out her skills. The staff were helpful & pleasant. We went to the top of the tower and she played for a long time on the outdoor play area. The gift shop was reasonable on pricing, my daughter bought 3 pocket money souvenirs.

However the reason I rate this a 4 and not a 5 is because we didn't have a nice experience in the cafe, I found it extremely disappointing, the only hot food available was a bacon sandwich or hot dog. I have never paid £7 for 2 rashers of bacon on bread before ! After 10 minutes wait I had a look around the till area to see the 2 sandwiches on the end, the staff didn't make it known that they were ready, it was cold to eat but I didn't want to complain as our friends had eaten and left the cafe before we had received our sandwich. We then went to the toilets which were filthy, out of 4 toilets, 1 was out of order, 1 didn't flush so there was a big queue for the 2 toilets left, which were obviously unclean. It was still an enjoyable day and I would still recommend it, but maybe to take a packed lunch

User

Have just got back from one of the special toddler days with my 2 year old daughter. She loved it - really good introduction to science.

Cafe is not great at all so recommend taking a picnic but otherwise we had s lovely time. We’ll be back!

User

Great place for kids to play and explore, my boys loved it. The cafe is a let down, food isn't great, cramped seating... Will bring a packed lunch next time for sure!

User

It's a beautiful setting with a lovely forest feel, lots of space to stretch little legs along with the science indoors. My children absolutely love it. Sadly you lose two stars for me because of the sheer amount of non recyclable waste generated- polystyrene plates and cups. So ironic when I bring my kids here to enjoy nature but then I buy a coffee and contribute to the international crisis of plastic waste. Maybe watch David Attenborough 's blue planet 2 and please please consider using reusable crockery instead 💔

User

I really like the idea of this place! And it does have some really fun exhibits. HOWEVER! It was so busy today and I know it was a rainy half term day but you could hardly move through pushchairs, there should be a rule about bringing buggies in! And there are just insufficient facilities for the amount of people they let in! The coffee shop was just rammed! We wanted a coffee but physically couldn’t fit in trough the door! The outside marque for wet day picnics was rammed full (at only 11.30!) and we ended up eating our lunches on our laps in a crowded and freezing corridor by the toilets for a £20 entrance fee for 3! We were only in there for 2.5 hours and that included our uncomfortable lunch! Facilities need updating and expanding

User

Not very impressed to discover absolutely no facilities open on Sunday 24 December. People obviously still visiting/walking/cycling but no toilet facilities available. I can understand the exhibition/shop being closed over Christmas but loads of families visiting to use play area and woodlands with nowhere to change nappies or toilet the children - still charging for the car park though!! You need to think things through Bracknell Forest!!

User

Love this place but sadly during term time there are just too many school groups allowed in at a time which makes it a frightening place for little ones who are visiting. The behaviour of the schools that were in today was dreadful, no supervision by group leaders, the children were running around and climbing over everything with no regard to members of the public. Not sure how they could class it as an educational visit.

User

First time to the discovery centre. We took the boys to see what we were sold to have Dinosaurs for toddler.. we were queuing in the cold for about 45minutes to get in the door.

The Boys(4 tots) wanted to see the dinosaurs and unfortunately we had to disappointed them by telling them, the dinosaurs were not there today.

There was a woman dressed as a dinosaur who sat for photos about every hour... was very disappointing.

It was Chaotic! Completely disorganised and frankly unsafe.

Their saving grace was the story time, and the story teller. He was very interactive with the Children (12.30 session) and was animated when telling the Dinosaur tales and reading of the dinosaur books.

Definitely not worth what we had paid. Very disappointed to say we won’t be going again.
