Yesterday I went to the boozy brunch, I saw this on advertised on there Instagram page. We were greeted and look after by very friendly staff, the food and serves were great! Would definitely recommend!

Went for afternoon tea as a birthday treat from my mum. Food was amazing

We won scones and tea via a Facebook competition the staff were wonderfully helpful and accommodating getting us booked in we came in with the dog and was greeted with a warm welcome and a lovely pot of tea and fresh scones I have been many times here for cocktails but will definitely be coming back for food next time and be recommending to all! thanks again �

Visited Shrewsbury for the day and needed somewhere that was dog fiendly to eat and was tipped off about this place. Great relaxed but stylish atmosphere and I had the best seafood risotto ever! Had local Joules beer on tap. Altogether I would recommend this place. I will definitely visit when I'm in town again.

Singer last night was really good, put his own arrangement on songs and it really worked �

Second visit here in the last few weeks, first time was pre-theatre meal and a cocktail with my mum. Not much choice for their 'happy hour' menu, but thankfully Gin was an option so we had this as not beer drinkers! Food was very tasty and quick service. Gratuity added on our bill automatically which I don't like as feel it should be the diners choice.



Been here tonight with my husband and had the 'Prosecco and a board' offer for £35 and it did not disappoint. The scotch eggs were delicious and piggy bits yummy. Praise the Chef �� Be nice to serve butter with the bread, but when asked for they provided although not spreadable for 15 mins!



Will definitely visit again, but maybe not a Friday night.

My first visit to the Loopey Shrew, the whole experience was excellent all our food was yummy and so was the wine. Shall definitely be going there again. Good food good service and a nice location what more could you want. 😄😋😊.

I am amazed at some of the negative reviews I've just read on this page. My 3 friends and I travelled from Mid Wales for a night out and stayed here on the 28/10/17 and I thought the place was fantastic. I booked The Loopy Shrew as I liked the look of the place and I'm so glad I did. The two double rooms were a nice size with enough room to walk around with ease, they were beautifully furnished, one with an outside area and you can tell that a lot of detail has gone into them. We had an assortment of teas and coffees and homemade buscuits and bathrobes which was a nice touch. We had Sunday lunch and we all said how polite and attentive the staff were. Da iawn chi! / Well done you.

Food is always delicious, staff always courteous but an especially big thank you to the blonde young man who provided us with umbrellas so we could eat our tasty food in the sudden downpour. Excellent place.

Came across this place after not being able to get a table at the Coach&Horses for our Sunday roast-Thank god we couldn’t!The food was amazing and we were asked by 3 different waitresses randomly throughout the meal if everything was ok and did we need anything at all-this is what I call good service-good portion size quality food and staff that genuinely enjoy their job-what a fantastic combination!

Booked a table for 23 people for my 40th Birthday party. From start to finish, the staff were very helpful and accomodating. On the night, the food and drink was delicious, venue was lovely and the live music was a hit too. Would definitely recommend �

Excellent situation if you want City Centre stay. Quirky decor, trendy bar, looked like good food and nice breakfast! Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed and nice tea box. I needed the ear plugs, however, we slept well!

Read reviews on trip advisor wonder if the manager has nothing wrong with food quality but it’s mentioned a few times about staff/waiters/ waitresses being slow and not doing there job properly think most places you have a bottle of wine it’s opened and poured not just put on table for you to actually unscrew it and pour yourself and having to ask if I can order my food cause I’ve been sat ther 20 mins just little things make all the difference !!!

Over priced and takes ages to get served even when not that busy.. Some of the bar staff are a bit stuck up, shame as that reflects badly on others and the place.

I was warned about slow service before we went. However, waiting 45 minutes for poached eggs, then getting the order wrong. Then another 20 minutes to correct the mistake, it still was not correct. So gave up. The quality of the food deserves 5*, service is appalling.

Went for valentines - big mistake!

Both of us wanted 2 courses only, was informed it was 3 courses only this evening. Should have been informed this at time of booking.

Poor choice on the menu, food was average and was hit with a 10% service charge on top of the £75 bill!

Shame as we were big fans of the ditella chain, wont be going back in a hurry.

Have eaten here twice now the food is exceptional and so is the friendly service, however, the wait time is a joke, on both occasions we waited over an hour for our food. Such a shame because the food is very good. Perhaps look at table numbers if the kitchen can't cope!?

While the food and service were very good, on being presented the bill I noted that a 10% 'gratuity' had been added. I paid it but afterwards realised that we had probably been duped. This was not a service charge. It was a gratuity added - presumably by the waitress - without my prior consent.



When occasionally dining out we almost always leave a tip of around £5 for serving staff. On this occasion £8 was simply taken without my prior consent. I object to this. It's not the small amount taken. It's the fact that it was added to my bill without my express prior consent.



It's a shame because we otherwise had a nice lunch. We will go elsewhere in future.
