The staff here have been great. Lighthearted yet incredibly efficient. Been here most of the day and haven't seen them miss a beat.
Oh, the fish and chips were just superb.
A very justified 5 stars. Thank you guys.
Met up with an old work pal for a mini reunion over a meal!! As he was staying in the next door premier inn on business this eatery seemed logical.
Absolutely fantastic service from the team for whom nothing was too much.
We both ordered the mixed grill with a steak upgrade to sirloin!
My steak was ordered medium well and it was just that! Beautiful meal and great staff many thanks to all!!
Had the best meal here early evening tonight. The new menu is fantastic. Great service.
We visited the beefeater as staying at premier inn. Starters were bloody lovely then came the main course. My partners and sons was fine my chicken was freezing cold. I cannot fault the waitress and management they came straight to the table and offered me something different. I was put off to be honest but at the end of the meal the manager told us the bill was sorted. We will return as my sons and partners meals were fine. Thank-you for turning a negative into a positive :-)
Thank-you to the manager and staff for your generosity and I'm sure we will be back :-)
We had a really nice meal, both chose the 2 courses & had steaks which were cooked just as we asked, we wanted jacket potatoes instead of chips which was no problem, all very tasty, our server was very efficient and friendly, the desserts were a bit basic but didn’t spoil our meal. We would return.
The only downside was the toilets and although you don’t spend that long in there ....they were sooo cold.
Took about 20 mins for the drinks to arrive after placing the order ~ dinner was so-so, bit wilted. The waitress was very flustered & rushed off her feet, severely understaffed. Ordered frozen strawberry yogurt for dessert and strawberry ice cream came out, couldn't be bothered to try and get her attention again so gave to the kids
Overall experience wasn’t the best. The waitress I felt lacked customer service skills, she wasn’t very smiley. The first thing I asked for was a pink gin & prosecco which was on the drinks menu and was told they didn’t have it. I then ordered food, asking for dripping sauce with my steak and upgraded my chips to the cheesy beef fries. A couple of mins later the waitress told me they had no dripping sauce. Even though she apologised, it didn’t seem sincere. When the food arrived I was dissatisfied with the fries as they are described as being ‘loaded’ with toppings on the menu. I don’t feel this was the case. But other than that, food was ok and was served fairly quickly after ordering.
Went here yesterday for my boyfriends and his sisters birthday meal and it was possibly the worst experience.. the only reason I'm giving two stars is because the starter and the drinks were alright. We waited ages just for someone to come over and order some drinks then waited a lot longer for the drinks to come! It was a very slow service on a not so busy night. Our waitress was quite rude to us when we complained about the wrong food/cold undercooked food. We are never the type of people to complain either! Overall not a great experience and probably won't be going again. Save your money! :/
The food was great , booked a table for 8pm to be told no table booked , and that it will be half an hour ....went back to hotel she re booked for 8.15 , back to beefeater to be told will have to wait ten minutes !!! At 8.30 a table was found .... not happy as a single female diner having to wait at the bar is very uncomfortable
No table available but told we could eat in bar. Ordered food and had wrong starters sent but was rectified. The chicken goujons were awful and the children's vegetable stick starters were woeful . Mains well 2 of the 4 adults ok (pie and steak ) however the ceaser salad and Salmon aweful and the ribs dry and French fries cold. This after an hour wait kids meal ok but she was past it by this time . Then to be asked if we had finished by a waiter when we were only half way through !! Not happy
They did however deduct money off the bill...
One of the worst meals we have had there which is a shame.
service was rubbish had to wait 45 min for a burger and 30 for the kids ice cream 20 mins for drinks to turn up staff wasn't nice was quite rude had to run around to find them quick burger for the kids before home took and 2 n half hours after complaints I made manager did nt once come over to apologised about the poor service I received
Went on Sunday as was Husbands Birthday. Husband had to re-order twice as they didn't have either of his choices. Chicken burger looked like beef. Of the 'dips' served with the bread starter, only the yoghurt and mint was edible and could be classed as a dip, the other two were solid . The lamb main course was tiny and very 'chewy' and the kale was overcooked. Waitress brought cider instead of lemonade (daughter is under 18) and when we got the bill we'd been charged for it although we'd sent it back.
The young waitress asked if we wanted our starters served with the main meal - the point of a starter is to have it before the main course. Food was luke warm.
Poor show beefeater - will not be visiting again . Prices are far too high for what was provided.
Went for breakfast with my family. All the plates at the buffet had yesterday’s dinner still on them(dirty)
most the buffet items was all out and had to ask a few times for them to be re-filled.
All the glasses was dirty so had to use a coffee cup and even then all the juices was all out!!
Asked for a costa latte (on menu) to be told they couldn’t make it due to milk being off even though there was milk for regular coffee on the buffet.
We have been here many times before and has been great, today however the service was poor and hygiene was disgusting
Was really looking forward to the Asian beef crispy salad to be served with a plate of greasy strips of pulled style beef that had no taste and was very chewy. The salad was soggy and tasteless however we were given money off the bill because I complained
Very very disappointed. Ordered a Haddock it was full of bones. Couldn't eat it.Served mushy peas instead of garden peas . Chips never arrived. Definitely not coming here again.
I wouldn't even give them 1 star.
Very disappointing. Over 2 hours to be served a 2 course 'average' Sunday lunch. 15 mins to get drinks when ordered and over an hour to get a small lunch of lamb (of the 5 small pieces served 2 where over 50% fat an inedible) and a smaller potion of veg than I give my 5 year old - who by the way was totally bored with the wait. Staff polite, but not really attentive we had to keep calling them over. Not worth it time or money wise in my opinion
They contract the crooks at Local Parking Security Ltd to enforce their £1.00 car park charge, which they refund when you order food and drink. However, when Local Parking Security Ltd issue a parking charge notice incorrectly and even though you have been a customer in the restaurant, Beefeater customer service refuse to assist. I've never experienced such awful customer service.
Seriously understaffed. Been here 2 hours and still waiting for our meal
Had to send 2 meals back as not edible, one steak was so overdone - it was cremated! Replacement was the same, so had to have a refund!
Then discount (we had a voucher) wasn't taken from the final bill and we had to call the manager back again.
Totally embarrassing experience, when taking family visiting from Australia for what was suppose to be a fun evening.
