What a wonderful evening celebration meal. Leone our waitress was so attentive and helpful yesterday. Excellent service and food.. couldn't be faulted!. A thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.... would definitely make another visit.

There were 9 of us today that ate here and must say we all had 3 courses, the food was amazing, very well presented, and totally delicious.... the waitress was very helpful and the service was perfect, will definitely be going back very soon.... thanks for a lovely time....

I have never been before but me and my brother took Mum for an early mothers day treat. Wonderful atmosphere and even better food that was absolutely delicious. I will definetely be returning with my husband and two children.

Celebrating my sons engagement 10adults and a 18 month old. Majority ordered roasts, which were very nicely presented and very tasty, starters were also tasty. Staff were very attentive and patient, we were all carried away talking as the atmosphere was very relaxed for us as a family in the private dinning room. Each time the waitress came to take our order we had not looked at menus. She was so patient and just kept popping back in to see if we were ready. When our meals arrived there were more than one waitress bringing them out so we weren’t kept waiting and could all eat together. Staff were lovely with the little boy in our party. Taking time to talk to him.

Child meal was also very impressive.

We ordered the collection of sweets and they were happy to offer plenty of spoons for us all to have a taste. Staff were there to see us out through the restaurant and thank us. I did mention to staff to thank the chef as I feel they are always forgotten how hard they work in the kitchen.

Amazing service tonight, our waiter Ben was attentive without being obtrusive. Food was excellent. Thank you for making our friends feel special on an important event in their lives

6 of us ate this evening , food was superb , piping hot and delicious service and front of house staff immaculate .. haven’t eaten here for many years but we will be back !! .. it’s a must if in the area ...

We were greeted at the door by a staff member, we were straight to be seated in a good atmosphere all around. Staff were very helpful they knew the menu well and everything was described to us perfectly. My meal was very good however my partners venison was over cooked. Saying that overall experience was very good and we shall be returning.

This was our second visit and again me & my wife weren't disappointed beautiful surroundings, food was excellent and an extremely good experience, if there was a criticism was the attentiveness of the waitress although very pleasant we had to remind her as our meal was being delivered that we'd ordered drinks again had to make eye contact & pug myself out to her to ask for a desert menu but that's really being picky I suppose but a highly recommended dining experience, we'll definitely be back..

I really enjoyed our meal. We have never eaten here before just had drinks. I see some people where disappointed with there food, I can only say food and service was great and didn’t feel rushed to pay after our meal. I have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the surrounding looking forward to the summer so we can sit outside lovely place.

Good food but the service was pretty shocking. Took ages for food to arrive, then ages for them to take plates away and then ages for the bill, had to go up and do it. Shocking for the amount of staff that were on and just standing around.

Food was lovely surroundings and staff were really good but have to say more attention needed to toilet area it was actually disgusting needs looking into big time!!

Went here last night with friends. Although the food was amazing, the waitress bought out everyone’s meal but mine (there was 4 of us) she apologised and said the chef forgot to cook my meal. My friends steak came out under-cooked and have to go back to the chef to be cooked further.

I was very disappointed with the quality of the food, the starter was cold and the meal was just ok, one of the mains that was served to us, still had the skin the butternut squash, and to be told that this was on as it was twice cooked and that's how it's always been and it's fine in olive oil is not on, I have been in catering 30 years and everyone knows that the skin is to be removed, at no point did the waiting staff even try to be considerate, they just said they had spoken to the chef, any chef worth his salt would have addressed the customers concerns, shocking and average food at pop star prices, won't be going again!!!!

Hard to leave an accurate review for this place, in the evenings its awesome, the service is fast, the food is great and the staff are helpful. I was excited when my office moved close to here as its a 5min drive to come for lunch, but i have been here for lunch 4 times in the past month and every time has been a disappointment, the service in the day is ridiculously slow and you’re left waiting ages for a table and even longer for someone to take your order, and quite often the food is nowhere near the same standard as the evening.



Would definitely recommend this place for an evening meal, but for lunch there are much better places around this location.

Went to this pub for my birthday meal and the service provided was poor, the food was overpriced and when we wanted to use a January offer voucher code we were told it ran out on the 22nd in the extremely small fine print. It is therefore not a January offer. Was very disappointed.

Came for the boxing day menu only to be told at the end of the main course that half the dessert options were no longer options! Manager never came to apologise either. Went to the crown at wergs Christmas eve and had better service, better food and better atmosphere

Worst dining experience ever. Had to wait over 20mins to get served at the bar. Having pre booked for a large party and pre-ordered our food, our table wasn’t ready for 45mins, we then waited a further 45mins until our starters arrived. By the time they brought out the veg for the roast dinners, which was about 15mins after the main plates arrived, everyone had finished their food. This was a family celebration. Four people had to leave at 6pm (our table was at 4pm) because of the time it took for food to arrive. This family celebration was totally ruined. I am so appalled. I was under the impression that this was an upmarket and reliable place to eat but I was sorely mistaken.

Shocking service, staff rolling their eyes at you, food cold. Even after complaining the managers response ‘ what do you want me to do about it you were served by a manager’!.

Wouldn’t recommend at all
