Will eat here one day all my friends have thoroughly enjoyed eating here. Happy to support yet another Leeds business that’s been attacked by vegan fascists. You do your thing and let others do theirs, a sense of humour might help ref the kittens. It’s wrong to attempt to impact on a business and risk jobs. I wouldn’t eat foi gras either, but there’s ways and means of going about things and I’m sure the veal would be rosé and I haven’t an issue with the husbandry that goes into rosé veal.

User

What an amazing restaurant food and service were top class. Would highly recommend for a special evenings dining

User

Terrific place, don't listen to the naysayers, get some foie gras all in and around your mouth

User

Special place. Food is art. Taste creations. Indulge otherwise you’ll never know. Highly recommended. Treat your senses to a unique experience.

User

So as Vegans think this is ok to try and ruin a restaurant that is producing great food. Just because of their beliefs, I think we should all start to leave 1* reviews on Vegan restaurants and battle back!

User

Like the countless other reviews, I unfortunately haven't eaten here. Just leaving some 5* for a talented guy who angered the hysterical ones among us. Maybe if you organised a meeting with the management you may find some more sympathy to your cause. The bombardment of a businesses page just rallies support to it.

User

Iv not Eaten here just supporting a fellow chef! No point on the negative reviews because of something put on his menu! Keep up the good work Chef!

User

Had the joy of eating here last spring and it was wonderful! Every single course was outstanding and I would eat here again in a heartbeat. Please ignore all the negative reviews below eating here was heaven and Michael O’Hare was a pleasure to meet

User

Fantastic place to eat and great service from all ! The bad reviews on this page are from silly vegans who think that cause of their personal lifestyle choice, gives them the right to ruin a business. You don't like Foie Gras , then don't eat it. Simples

User

Can’t even describe how much we loved the full experience! We traveled all the way from Edinburgh- completely worth it!

The food and staff were amazing!

User

Wont be booking a table after your reaction on last visit An Foie Gras is the most barbaric pain for the animal made to have a tube stuffed down it's throat maybe you'd like to have your organs made to be like that....

User

The ignorant fuckwits that run this place have the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Save your money and go to any of the other fantastic independent restaurants in Leeds. Sooner this place closes down the better.

User

Shame on you for serving foie gras on the menu, banned in the UK as deemed as so cruel

User

Probably in your best interests to take foie gras off the menu.. but if you value money over the welfare of poor defenceless animals you probably won’t..... there’s a very good reason why it’s illegal to produce ‘fatty liver’ in the uk.

User

Out dated menu serving out dated food, pretentious and the attitude of management is dreadful if you dare to complain. Lots of other better places to eat in Leeds, I don't recommend this place sadly.

User

Not very modern in their menu. They are serving pate de foie gras which is produced by force feeding birds through metal tubes forced down their gullets, often causing injury in the procrss until their livers become full of fat. They are then killed.

If that's not enough there's also veal on the menu. Calves fed on milk instead of grass and concentrate to keep them anaemic- hence the pale flesh. They are slaughtered prematurely. They have no natural life.

Do you really not care about animal welfare? Is a taste more important than an animal's life?

Don't eat here and please spread the word.

No wonder the man is behind the curtain - hiding away from the horrors he is party to.

User

How could anyone want to dine at a place where the management think animal torture is acceptable, and even make sick jokes about it? You disgust me. Thankfully there are more and more veggie and vegan restaurants popping up all over the country. You need to get with the times, and I don't mean the stone age.

User

Foie gras on the menu and veal...really? It's cruel and barbaric and to then mock the animals suffering...what an arrogant cretin you are! I will be avoiding this place and making sure everyone I know will too!

User

A true class establishment wouldn't need to serve Foie Gras - barbaric, pretentious AND just because some sick mind thought of this atrocity, doesn't mean WE have to continue with it - after all, we're all 'progressing' aren't we??
