Studied an Access course with the college (Business and Law: Distance Learning), and have enjoyed it thoroughly. There wasn't much communication during enrollment, but once enrolled everything ran smoothly. My tutor, Annette Madra, has so much dedication to her students and has helped me to achieve my goal of getting into university. I would highly recommend this college to all who are interested. Thank you for a wonderful year, the Manchester College!!!

User

Studied Music technology and DJ performance at the Shena Simon and it was the best two years of education so far, beyond helpful staff and an all round amazing campus, highly recommend!

User

Recently completed the BA (Hons) in Public Services and Social Justice. The course and the content were fantastic, and the lecturers were really knowledgable and supportive. The lessons were all interactive, with open discussions and debates about social issues and the impact of the current political climate on welfare, crime etc, it also included a trip to the Conservative party conference. Completing this course enabled me to apply for an MA in social work and gave me the confidence and knowledge needed to apply to the university with lecturers who teach the modules from a very political perspective. This course was one of the best things I've ever done and had definitely enhanced my career prospects.

User

It is a lovely institution where you can relax and focus on your studies in a tranquil atmosphere.

User

I started from Entry 3 ESOL course at the first year when I came to this country. Now,this is my final year of BTEC course. After 4 years with TMC, I learnt a lot a lot! All teachers I have were lovely, and they help, support, encourage me always! So proud of being a part of this college! I wish all the staff from both Shena Simon and Nicholls campus the best!

User

I know this isn't a review but is anyone starting the foundation degree in makeup artistry? would anyone like to share accommodation? please get in touch! could anyone let me know how the course is?

User

I am studying there at the moment and all the staffs are so fantastic and supportive.... So come and join our fantastic TMC TEAM!!!

User

Fully recommended Manchester College for Access to HE. Somethings were a bit of a calamity at times but it got me where I needed to go and the majority of the teaching was excellent.

User

ESOL is the largest of it'ds kind in the area they do a fantastic job. If you are a waiting list I would not hold my breath they have 1000 learners waiting due to the fantastic job they do. If you want to get on the course you need to keep attending to get on an ESOL course. Or any course, keep attending open days and evenings. Imagine a place where you could get free coffee and it's one of the best around would you be happy giving your details just in case you got one or would you keep popping in to see if they have any available

User

Brought my daughter last night for the open evening the staff were very inviting and we are looking forward to September. We spoke to Simon and a lady sorry forgotten her name . My daughter will be studying health and social care special thankyou to these very special people x

User

Everyone is really nice at Manchester college. Teachers are really helpful but I’m waiting for my certificate for 4 mounts now and no one actually tells me why it takes so long. Just had enough.

User

don't do any gym instucutour or pt course their they have little knowledge of the subject and do not even employee teachers with experience in the job spec their also the staff at openshaw do not like the disabled student

User

So far I have been finishing my studies at the Forum Learning in Wythenshawe where all staff were brilliant!!

Unfortunately I have decided to move to another campus the Northenden one where all my expectations and hopes were thrown in the bin recently due to the appaling management ( if I knew what would be the result I would never had done this mistake).

I have enrolled for the Teaching Assistant L2 course and I ended up in a Childcare L2 course. After all my efforts to be transferred to the right course, the one I actually wanted and applied for, 2 months later I got the transfer. But still, no English GCSE classes were defined for me (yes, I was after the English department since the beginning of the academic year too), today, I have received an email from the english department saying that I don't have the required qualification to ingress in an English GCSE class (I am sorry, what?? I have successfully passed all my functional skills levels at the Wythenshawe Forum.

I am sooooooo regreted for swapping such a great team as Wythenshawe's for the one in Northenden that all they have done so far was pulling me backwards and waste my last year in UK with their incompetence.

I expect this to be solved otherwise I will have to take actions.

Feel free to contact me by message.

Wishing you better days,

Jaqueline Diniz

I've studied Creative Media Productions at the Wythenshawe campus for two years.

The college lacks serious management, the tutors are discriminating and don't grade the student as he/she deserves (there is classroom elitism and students are graded based on whether the tutor likes them or not). I have been given lower grades because I have filed a complaint against the tutors, not to mention the appalling behaviour these had with me during class time.

This may not happen in all campuses of The Manchester College, but my biggest advice for everyone is to NOT study at the Wythenshawe campus, or at least, the course I have studied.

User

I think that the Northenden College Campus is not such a good campus because they are so un-organized with lessons and communication. I have been there now 3 months but I don't like it there and if I don't like it in December I will leave because I have had enough of it and I will happpier elsewhere. It is more like a high school where students mess around, gossiping and talking behind your back. Plus being rude and swearing and being loud. It is a waste of time and I have not been given support in class.

User

I do not expect to choose my university centre and be moved half way through my course. Haven't even been consulted and I might even have to quit next year so I've wasted a tonne of money and a year of my life! Get the decision disallowed!

User

Great tutor however the college seems to be run appallingly with little organisation and inept processes. Finished my course in December, have still not received my certificate and after trying to change my name and address 3 times by sending over the relevant information it still hasn't been done.
