We did our best to join the town of Moreton in celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo yesterday, we even did some celebrating of our own after Chef won the Best Beef Wellington Award judged by Prue Leith CBE!
In fact, Chef Nick's Beef Wellington was that good it was actioned off, with the winner being Prue Leith herself!

User

What a lovely place. I loved everything about it! My room no 49 was fantastic the bed was soooo comfy & my bear was cute. I loved the Molton Brown products (smelt lovely) and the water and homemade shortbread delicious. Lovely breakfast with a massive variety to choose from in lovely setting. All staff were lovely & I would love to come back as I have fell in love with the place!

We stopped last night after the wedding open day and the staff are second to none. Tom the wedding planner couldn't be more friendly, accommodating or helpful. The gardens are lovely, the food amazing. We booked our wedding for later in the year while we were at the wedding open day as we cannot imagine a a prettier setting or a reception where the service & food are so fantastic. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had our wedding here, beautiful location, beautifully friendly staff , beautiful rooms, it poured with rain on our day so was disappointed not to be married outside but the indoors room was spectacular. Not a bad word to say and the staff are amazing, in particular Tom our wedding coordinator , nothing was too much hassle, he is a true gent and my bride shed a tear saying goodbye to him, Richard was fantastic and very accomodating. We both look forward to going back on our anniversary to see everyone. Tom especially made us feel like we had been friends for years. If your thinking about getting married here, just book it,you will not regret it

My husband and I recently got married at the Manor. I can not recommend them highly enough. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous inside and out and the staff were lovely and catered to our every need. Tom the wedding planner was amazing, he made sure our day went smoothly, stress free and was very helpful from the day we booked until the day after the wedding! If you want a hotel that looks after you and goes above and beyond we would definitely recommend the Manor!!

User

Excellent service from all staff, we had a beautiful bed room, the whole of the hotel is delightful and we were served some very nice food plus the hotel is well located for Cotswold highlights and Stratford upon Avon. Highly recommended.

As a wedding photographer I see behind the scenes in a lot of venues!! Tom and Ben running the wedding team at The Manor House Hotel are both brilliant. They do everything they can to help, and this combined with such a pretty cotswold venue, friendly staff and relaxed, intimate atmosphere makes it one of my top venues to recommend to my clients

So close to being spot on. Great food on Friday night followed by a lovely lunch some great cocktails and good service. Our room (5) was lovely and had lots of space and character. The breakfast on Saturday was lovely, great service, hot food and a wonderful seat in the garden brasserie.

Then there was breakfast this morning. Gutted really. It came out wrong and cold. I said to the waiter (first miserable person we had encountered over the 3 days!) it was cold and he was uninterested to say the least.

I can now understand a few of the reviews on here, but it didn’t spoil our stay in a wonderful hotel with a great feel and great food! (Apart from the cold breakfast this morning).

User

One of my husbands favourite places as he likes to stay here and now I can understand why. Maybe next time I will be able to stay over or even eat in your establishment, not just enjoy the lovely garden and wine. X

User

Lovely venue on a sunny day. Early service not perfect due to large wedding group (I think) but worse no slimline tonic for my Gin!! Food was sublime. Would visit again.

User

Lovely setting and old character property. Room was lovely...loved the Molten Brown toiletries. Fan supplied already as room was hot. Staff lovely and knowledgeable. We treated ourselves to the tasting menu...a great success and serving staff knew their stuff. Breakfast a bit disappointing but still good enough. Expensive stay for one night but we deserved it and would recommend at a lower price

User

Just popped in to the manor for drinks with friends, sat in the little room just off from the main bar, lovely cosy atmosphere, staff friendly and very helpful.

User

User

It wasn’t great!! Lovely place but waitress where not great and the food wasn’t good either

Have visited before a few years ago. Service and food were very good then, but this time things weren't so good. We had lunch booked but were very disappointed. Salad was awful. Limp lettuce brown at edges. Oily with sliced red pepper and a handful of olives. Not a proper salad at all by 2017 standards. Fish was pan seared but so burnt there was very little actually edible. Had a far superior salad at my local pub last week - well chopped, crisp and good variety of salad veg. Don't think the lunch food would appeal to young professionals, retired folk less likely to complain. Some decor looking tired. Staff not attentive as last visit. Polite but missing some basic requests. This is a fine old hotel in a lovely setting. Hope it can be brought up to its previous high standards again.

User

The hotel is beautiful outside but tired and walls are dirty inside. The carpet particularly in halls and stairs are worn thin and are slippery as a consequence. reception staff were polite and helpful. Restaurant staff need some training and need to listen and understand what customers want. We ordered toast 4 times and twice it came out as warm bread, once we were ignored , very frustrating. The room was cute the bed was amazing however the shower over bath was hit or Miss or scald yourself. The cold tap did not work properly and was dangerous. Overall it was in our opinion very over priced.

User

My wife and I went for a "Sublime" Sunday Lunch and B&B but the meal was served on a cold plate and was Luke warm at best. It appeared that it had been cooked 20 minutes earlier than it was served.

Whilst the room was pleasant and had an old world charm, it was tired looking. The bed was lovely but not a fan of duvets so I slept under the bed spread,( not the Hotel's fault)

Breakfast was again served on a cold plate, and we were served after people who had arrived after us, and again seemed to have been left sometime before being brought to us.

I am not the kind to complain, but I was very disappointed that the food was not what I would have expected based on its ratings.

User

Beware room 19 in the hot weather. Window obsures the fact that the kitchen vent is close and noisy. Also when you open window heat from vent is drawn into bedroom. Pathetic fan. Moved rooms.
