We are currently looking for front of house staff (due to losing some members to university) to join The Marcia Inn (Bishopthorpe)award winning pub. We have a mixture of daytime, evening and weekend shifts, full or part time hours available for those who are flexible with their availability. Fantastic exposure on local media, thanks to York TV for covering our recent beer festival on their channel. A superb weekend with incredible support from suppliers and our local community resulting in us raising the grand sum of ┬Ż3000 for Bishopthorpe White Rose FC !!

We have eaten here a few times now and the food is always great, fantastic beer garden for the kids to keep busy. I would Highly recommend the Marcia Inn for food and drinks

Visiting from Brussels and it beats the ones there. Great food thanks, watch out, the Irish are coming back!

Visited family who live in the village it was very busy as the sun was shining but we had a great service food took a while but that was expected due to how busy the kitchen was burgers were great and my daughter had the pie which she said was the best she's tasted ..... great beer garden kept the kids entertained can't wait for our next visit ­¤śŖ.......

To celebrate our daughter-in-laws birthday our son took myself and my hubby and his two little boys to have an evening meal at the Marcia in Bishopthorpe ,the welcome and service there is second to none,and two of us had fish and chips which were so excellent words can't explain .Wyou have today them to know what I mean the other meals were just as delicious and empty p!area were returned,even the little ones did well and one us a very fussy eater,Well done Gary and Linda and your excellent Chef and kitchen staff .

The food was gorgeous three of us went all we all had different things my steak and ale pie was the best I have ever had and my friends fish and salmon dishes were just as good been once before and will certainly be going back again lovely friendly staff too.

The bar staff were very polite and very friendly. The food was excellent. Will definitely pay it another visit when we're up that way again 5ŌŁÉ’ĖÅŌŁÉ’ĖÅŌŁÉ’ĖÅŌŁÉ’ĖÅŌŁÉ’ĖÅ Very well deserved Ōś║’ĖÅ

Spent our last evening of our holiday at this lovely pub. What better way to spend then having a quiz show. Wonderful food, landlord, staff and locals.

Held my nannas wake here on Tuesday. Food was really nice, friendly staff and really nice garden outside where we were reserved tables x

Great pub & restaurant. Visited many times foods always good with a great choice of beers. Would always recommend there Sunday lunch. Worth driving out for. Lived in Bishopthorpe for a few years, miss this place, best place to eat & drink in the village.

Good service, friendly people and best of all the food was great freshly cooked and served on hot plates. Would be very happy to eat there again, also, it was lovely to see that dogs were welcome in The Marcia.

First visit for a meal and will definitely be back. The place was full and the steak pie was the best I have had ever! I will be back!

First time we had ever visited, we had drinks and reserved a table . Food , atmosphere, cleanliness , staff, all top notch. Visited the day after for a few afternoon drinks and booked a table for the following week . 5* so far, cannot see a change.

Fantastic day watching the footy followed with a BBQ and loads of footy music, canŌĆÖt wait until Wednesday, sure Linda and Gary will make it a night to remember

Can't fault the place. Staff are all friendly and food is great. Linda and Gary are always really welcoming and great with my little one.

Called in at lunch time and had a lovely lunch with friends and family. Always a pleasant atmosphere and accommodating for our two young children. Thanks to the marcia and compliments to the chef, lamb special was a hit, great work
