We had a fantastic meal here two years ago and always wanted to go back which we did last night and had another lovely meal, definitely recommend a visit here. Really good food, friendly staff and a lovely countryside setting - perfect.
The Marquis has been our local for years, we've had big family meals, loads just the two of us, and every thing in between, no meal has ever disappointed. Tracey and Steve, and staff work very hard to please. We'll miss you all so much when finally we move.

Just had the most amazing Mother’s Day Sunday lunch, food was fantastic, service outstanding even on what was a very busy service, chef even made my wife a platter of cheese and biscuits which was not even on the menu. Menu had Seven starters six mains and Seven sweets. Highly recommended.
It was the best pub dinner lve ever had no contest, the starter scampi and sauce was something else followed by the lamb cooked perfectly and an amazing desert will be going again. Great staff lovely atmosphere and nice little pub

Excellent food and service. Would highly recommend.
Country pub truly in the middle of nowhere, a hidden treasure to those that have not been. Venison burger to die for and the lobster was just excellent, best bit was without a doubt the Devine deaerts and little extras you get with the coffee.. great staff lovely location, just excellent, will most definantley be back despite the 4-5 hour drive from home
Beautiful setting. Great outdoors play area for the kids and most importantly tasty, well presented food. Friendly staff too. We'll be back.
A gem of a pub tucked away in Nettlecombe. Great food and a great welcome from Steve (well he was in the Kitchen) and Tracey (excellent front of house). Will definitely visit again.
A fabulous pub/restaurant we were a group of 5 walkers. We stayed the night Oct 2017 in lovely shabby chic rooms and enjoyed the chocolates, biscuits and huge shower. Evening meal and breakfast were outstanding. Highly recommend thank you
