We don't need much of an excuse to share puppy pictures here, as you know.
Our lovely little friend was only meant to pop in for an hour at 9 to say hello, meet a few people, and didn't end up leaving until 1pm, it was a beautiful day <3

We're so excited that we can now let you incredible people know how much you raised for our families while making memories like this one at our Easter Coffee Morning last week
Our counters have worked tirelessly to tot up every penny and we're overwhelmed to say you utterly remarkable people managed to raise £5,500 for patients here at Mary Stevens Hospice!
For context, that's enough to pay for all of the food we need to feed five of our patients for a WHOLE YEAR, which is ju...st the most incredible contribution to have made so thank you to each and every one of you who attended, donated, volunteered and generally made it possible.
We hope you loved it as much as we did <3

We'd just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in The Big Stoubridge Rubbish Hunt a couple of weeks ago (including the Brennan clan, pictured!)
We firmly believe in supporting our community in as many ways as we can and we were delighted to have so many volunteers step forward to be part of Team MSH as the community came together to clean up Mary Stevens Park Stourbridge.
Well done everyone <3

My very precious mom passed away at Mary Stevens last Wednesday. I arrived too late on Thursday but had the privilege of going to see where she died and with whom she spent a special day with each week.....I was amazed and so at peace after meeting the special ladies there who surrounded me with love and comfort. Knowing my mom passed without me was very hard, but knowing she passed in a place she loved surrounded by people she loved was so precious and I cannot thank you all enough. Thank you for the bottom of my heart xx

User

My mother was in here for about 4 months before she passed away.. My self and my family are so overwhelmed with the care and support my mom and ourselves received from the nurses and volunteers.. This place is amazing and I couldn't of wished for a better place for my mom to end her battle with cancer!! The respect and dignity my mom received was the best anyone could wish for and I will never ever forget it! My self and my family would like to thank everyone at Mary Stevens hospice for making us feel so welcome and making my moms last days so rememberable. Xxx

My husband (Tony) passed in your Hospice 3 weeks ago now. He was so comfortable and at peace there. He felt at ease from the minute he walked in. You are all angels - every one of you. Although my grief will go on and on i am happy in the knowledge that he went pain free & his last 10 days were made happy by you all. Thank you for that xx

Mary Stevens day centre is a great place to meet people in similar situations. The staff are very understanding, caring and always have a smile for you. If you need anything you can just ask. If you are in pain or are having problems with your condition they will either try to help if they can or get the doctor. You can either join in with activities or just sit and relax even fall asleep if you want to. They have massages, exercises, therapies. If you need a bath or hair wash they will do their best to accommodate you. You can also have lunch there. I find it is a terrific place to go to once a week. As it gets me out of the house giving my husband who is my carer a chance to have a day to himself.

I work as a volunteer on the hospice bereavement support team with a wonderful group of people. We are there for families and friends of current patients or patients who have passed away and we are also there for the fantastic staff and for each other.

The holistic approach of the hospice is truly remarkable. If you are either a Day Unit patient, a patient on the hospice In Unit or a visitor (family members or friends) you will be treated with respect there is always someone to talk to never feel afraid to approach a member of staff or a volunteer.

User

I just wanted to say a huge thankyou to your colleagues for the smooth journey you provided to my wife Sally. The moment we met at the hospital everything that we wanted you delivered. The care and dedication shown was exceptional for which I will always be grateful.

God bless you all

User

Can not praise this small unit up enough for what they do just wished my late wife could have made it to them. We have sponsored them for many years now and I will carry on like my late wife did god bless you all for the work you do

User

As a family (Charlene Howell) we want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the care and compassion you all brought to Charlene, Phil, their baby boys and the rest of our family.

All the nurses, support staff and volunteers were simply exceptional, caring, supportive, and compassionate from the moment Charlene arrived for her final days. Nothing was too much trouble. Phil has asked for donations at the funeral to go to your hospice as a thank you and to help support the amazing work you all do.

From the bottom of our hearts.....thank you all.

User
