Very pleasant and cosy spot by the shore, friendly service, and fresh and delicious fish and chips! Thank you, we had a lovely time :)
Twice a year I visit this pub to meet a few old mates who moan about nearly everything in life. However we love this pub for fish and chips, the view from the outside tables is beautiful at sunset.
This is such a lovely pub, it has won the CAMRA S.E. Essex for the last 3 years so a great beer is guaranteed. They let you taste the beers before buying and prices are extremely good. The Fish and chips are the best for miles, whale-sized portions of fish in crisp crunchy batter and perfect chip shop chips, unsurprisingly since they come from the attached chip shop . Staff are always friendly too!
Lovely pub, good food, drink and able to sit outside and enjoy the sun overlooking Leigh on Sea, perfect evening x
Lovely pub with lovely friendly staff. Food was yummy and our dogs were even allowed in to dine with us while the lovely bar lady brought them out sausages. Can't wait to visit again soon
Love this pub. First time in the area, visiting from the Midlands, and it won't be my last. Definitely will try the fish and chips next time - I'm sure I won't be disappointed!
Love this pub! Nice wine, nice pints, lovely fish and chips - golden crispy batter and good chips too.
Great atmosphere, friendly welcoming staff. On a Sunday they have a singer . Would recommend this pub for a relaxed afternoon. Plus dogs are welcome.
Friendly staff and nice selection of ales.A nice fresh open sandwich, sat at the back where a lovely view of in coming tide made it perfect

Best cod and chips I've ever had. Lovely food. Lovely staff and great atmosphere. Almost felt like I was on holiday. So glad I you'd this gem of a place. Will definitely be returning.
An awesome pub where you can even take your dogs! Views of the estuary and delicious fish and chips! Well worth a visit!
Always the best cod and quick service downed by a top quality real ale , what’s not to like overlooking the Thames estuary.
Always down here were the sun out lovely stuff lovely place to drink or to eat very much loved
Went for late Sunday afternoon drinks in the sun. Nice comfortable seats in small beer garden which attracts the sun. Service good and beers good. Real ale drinkers will love it as good choice in local breweries.
Nice pub very friendly little gem on the estuary better then the bigger well known ones.food not bad very basic but nice x
The young school girls they employ as waiting staff are extremely rude. Go into the Mayflower quite regularly with my partner. I really used to like the pub but now I think it's going down hill. These girls they employ put these scented perfumed candles on the table every evening aparently. Which is annoying especially if you have an allergy to perfume or suffer from Asthma or Hayfever. We told them not to light it. They still did it. So my partner blew it out. Then this rude blonde girl insisted we have to have it. Which we don't. On top of that we don't get reconized as customers. As CAMRA Members we are always asked to see our card. Even though we are regulars. Won't be rushing back unless we meet friends in there. Unbelievable!
