The multi-award winning and critically acclaimed Lincoln Center Theater’s production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King And I - being screened here in this unmissable event recorded live from London’s iconic Palladium.
Reprising her Tony Award-winning role, ‘Broadway musical’s undisputed Queen’ (The Sunday Times) Kelli O’Hara (Anna) takes to the stage alongside Tony and Oscar nominee Ken Watanabe (The King) in a "powerhouse" (The Times) performance. Also returning to her T...ony Award winning role as Lady Thiang is Ruthie Ann Miles.
Set in 1860s Bangkok, the musical tells the story of the unconventional and tempestuous relationship that develops between the King of Siam and Anna, a British schoolteacher whom the modernist King, in an imperialistic world, brings to Siam to teach his many wives and children.
With one of the finest scores ever written including; Whistle a Happy Tune, Getting to Know You, and Shall We Dance, and featuring a company of over 50 world-class performers, The King and I is a testament to the lavish heritage of gloriously romantic musical theatre – it is the greatest musical from the golden age of musicals.
“Five stars for a sumptuous King and I. Book Now. It’s a hit” - The Times
“We left the London Palladium on a bright cloud of music - joyous!” - Daily Mail
“Looks and sounds ravishing. Complete rapture” - The Telegraph

Wonderful evening of entertainment. Wow, this is the way pantomime is meant to be with strong audience involvement all the way through. And you could see that the kids really enjoyed it. Strong voices from the leading cast members. Highly recommended. :)

Went to see The wizard of oz tonight was absolutely amazing, was a treat for my son’s eighth birthday and he loved it, they even got him up on stage and got the whole theatre to sing happy birthday. User

We took our 2 granddaughters to see The Hungry Caterpillar yesterday. They loved it. Leg room was good and the show was well timed at 1 hour long. Just long enough so the children didn't get restless. Parking is great. All in all a very good experience. We will definitely go again.

User

We all really enjoyed ourselves yesterday! My daughter, bf, brother sister and auntie had such a laugh! Defintely a show for all ages! Hidden adult humour for only adults to catch onto! Wasn't sure what to expect but it was most definitely a great show! Couldn't stop talking about how great it was once finished! I thought It was lovely that the cast came out to greet the children after as well! 5 stars from us! Thank you!

User

We (my 13 yr old and I) went to see Alice in Wonderland last night (18.03.17) - a truly Wonderful Experience! The talent of all involved was amazing. If we had to highlight individuals (in total agreement with my 13yr old) it would be 'little' Alice, Caterpillar, white rabbit and the ohhhh sooo cute little mouse in the teapot!! But, honestly every member of the cast who appeared on stage were fantastic!! Well done to them all.

User

I spent a lovely evening last night at The Open Mic Session being thoroughly entertained by a variety of singers, many of whom I had never seen or heard before. Vocals, guitar and percussion were excellent. Some original songs too. Up and coming stars of the future. Great talent and all for a £2.00 entry fee. Very intimate surroundings, sitting at tables very close to the singers. Great lighting, sound and acoustics. A well stocked bar to boot. Cheap night out in brilliant surroundings. Don't miss the next session on 25th April 2017

User

I have taken my boys to see a variety of shows now. They love it... the whole experience of watching a performance live on the stage is most magical for them. I sit watching there facial expression with delight. They both enter a world of magical fantasy allowing them to be involve and mesmorised by the whole atmosphere of the theatre and show.

As a parent the theatre is easily accessible from home no long journey.Easy parking and excellent value for money. I highly recommend taking your children here. Staff are very helpful and very welcoming. I'm 100% sure we will see you all again very soon.
