Now gone, The Melting Pot operated as a licenced cafe and entertainment venue.
We finally closed our doors in April 2019 when the owners re-located to Mount Hawke.

This Friday sees the return of one of our regular cabaret nights, with Luna Del Fae, Lotta von Beaverhausen, pirate shanty singers and Titi von Tranz. Come and enjoy an evening of fun with dance, song and comedy.
Tickets £4 advance, £5 on the door.

Whether it's talking Plato over a pint, Budda and a beer, Socrates with Scotch, or Confucius and Coke, Philosophy in Pubs Cornwall returns for its summer break next Wednesday. No prior knowledge in philosophy needed, just an open mind and some interesting views and ideas are all that's needed.
We meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month, currently from 5pm - 7pm. Free entry.

Went to see the 3 Daft Monkeys last night at the Melting Pot Cafe, what a great space and incredibly friendly staff :)
We spent a really fun evening at a Caberet event here. The venue is a quirky space full of character and the entertainment was top notch!
Was there last for a Charity night and it was sensational thumbs up in all areas ...warm , cosy & good choice of alcohol & soft drinks drank 3 cups of tea from over 100 choices & impeccable cake �� yummy ���������
Very cool café , friendly staff, good food, nice music venue.
Unique arty decor, friendly inclusive vibe, intimate music venue with licensed bar and great food.
The new owners Charlie and Tracey is very friendly and will welcome any customers with open arms . Pop in and meet them as so their chief Vasti will take over soon he is a very marvelous cook . His food is fans tic
Taken the Thursday Penzance Wheelers cycle club ride here several times, always great welcome for the lycra clad group.
Suprisd wvent left a review before whether its their weekend events or gamers nights or just for a drink along did their tasty meals on your own or with the friendly staff always enjoy going to this place and would througly recommend this place to others

Didn't have a rum or a gin, but did take note of the well stocked bar.
Stunning cream tea, curry, meze amazing staff went out of there way an back
Staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome and do the best hot chocolate and cake would defentely be going there again soon
