Review of our weekends hire! Lovely write up and especially pleased that the Freeman College bakery got a mention too! Hoping Mage plays returns with 'game on' pretty soon. β
Tonight is the opening night of Game night by Mage plays. Starts at 7:30. Tickets on the door. Β£12.50 adult. Just watched a bit through tech and it had me in hysterics. Personally, I love the idea of the play and how they have cleverly constructed their writing and performances in a way that seems too easy and is so apt for the younger generation who loves games such as Zelda, dungeons and dragons etc. Definitely worth a watch. P.s Mage plays are a local company within Sheffield. Please come support the arts.
This weekend, Friday and Saturday only, Mage plays brings their very own production of GAME NIGHT! Link below to reserve your tickets! Looking forward to seeing you this weekend at the Merlin! ππ #theatre #sheffield #Merlin

http://www.ridgewaymusic.co.uk/concert-da tes This weekend, we have the wonderful Ridgeway Music festival performing here at the Merlin Theatre. We are so excited to be working with this young, vibrant, talented group!
Here at the Merlin, we have many different projects. One of them is to collate visual and creative archives that celebrate the History of the Merlin Theatre. To do that, we are needing and in search of those wonderful Theatrical stories. The heart-breaking, the hysterical and amazing journeys that the people of Sheffield had whilst being involved at the Merlin Theatre. Please leave a comment with a story or simply contact us if you would like to share your stories. Can't wait to hear what you all have to share. Big thanks in advance.
Look at this old picture! I wonder how many of you who follow us, remember the Merlin before it was renovated? If you do, simply respond with "me" I ask, as there is a reason... more news on this tomorrow. In the mean time, if you know of someone who loves the Merlin Theatre, please let them know we are on FB, Twitter and Instagram. π #happyFriday #Fridayfeeling #Lookingback #memories #History #following #communitytheatre #socialenterprise
