We had a leaving meal for 20 people. The organisation was great the staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble and the food arrived at the same time. Thank you for allowing us to make it special for our daughter.

User

Usually my dad's favourite place , a nice little family pub , foods great , lovely friendly staff ..Great atmosphere , had a few enjoyable dance nights there .. A new modern look , very pleasing on the eye , definitely recommend it for family events X🌸

User

Took my wife for a meal last night ,

And WOW! Probably the best mixed grill I've ever had , the chicken was juicy (not dried up and nasty like you get elsewhere) , the pork was cooked to perfection , and the steak , although slightly overcooked for my liking , was juicy and tasted like heaven , portions were good size too , a great experience thankyou

User

User

Fantastic staff and atmosphere. Always friendly and can stand at the bar and look beautiful any time. TBH fabulous place and helpful staff who are friendly. The food is great too and the quiz on a Thursday is a must with Garry Stevens

User

User

We came for the first time to the beer and carols event an had a great evening

User

I have never had a bad meal or experience here. The food and coffees took a while but it was 6 pm on a sunday and the wolves had just been promoted I had nothing to complain about.

User

Had a Sunday lunch and added a pudding for an extra £2. £7.50 in total. Dinner was good value, if the meat was a little overlooked for my liking. I like my beef pink but it was well done. Dessert was delicious. The pub has had an overhaul. It looks completely different to how it looked in my youth. Very funky and pleasant to eat in.

User

the menu which the merry boys have like the street menu on the bored as you go in its not like this no boxed food or chop sticks rubbish you can have only food to eatin and thay stop serving at 8.45pm

User

Not impressed with the food we had today. No salad with starter no choice of dips. Hunters chicken was that small thought i ordered half a child portion. Staff were too busy chatting to each other while takin order. Not happy at all. On other occasions I was very happy with the food and staff. So wonder what's gone wrong.

User

Not good at all. Came for food and drinks dinner came out not very warm. Paid for extras and they also didnt come out.

Brought two glasses of wine and pepsi which both of them was flat. Spoke to the manager who kicked up a fuss as 'the machines were all working' he ended up replacing the pepsi but refused to replace the wine. Shame as last time this happened he couldnt help enough. Terrible service from the manager but all the other staff was okay

User

Went there for a meal at 6.50pm on a Friday only to see a sign saying no meal after 6 pm due to a party booked in . I had a couple of drinks a packet of peanuts then went to west house Chinese and had a wonderful take out meal spending 24 quid on a massive Chinese tasty meal X so if you want good food go to the Chinese just down the road .

User

Went for food last night waited 55 mins for our meals and when they finally came it was cold, and was told sorry for wait we are busy, (there was a maximum of 10 other people eating) will never go again, nearly £70 down the drain.........terrible.

User

This was my first and last visit to this pub/ restaurant. Called in today for a meal with my granddaughter and Her other Nan and Grandad. Ordered a Cowboy Burger which had been cremated along with a stale and over grilled seed bun which was too hard to eat in places. The few bland chips I received were obviously frozen and not freshly made. Who gives a child [4] an ice cream sundae in a half pint glass? The meal took ages to arrive too. Compared to a Hungry Horse pub this pub is way overpriced! The friendly staff was the only saving grace of this pub
