We love the Fossgate social and therefore we were excited to try the new one of Micklegate. The staff, food and beers are just as good! Plus it is the perfect place for a drink before popping down to Skosh and other places that are popping up along Micklegate! No longer the dark side of town!! �

I would just like to say that since the Mickgate social opened after taking on the premises, which is always a difficult transition both for customers and staff similarly, how amazing all the staff are. They are so welcoming, always cheerful even when really busy, and always have a smile and a warm greeting every time I visit. It's so refreshing to be able to walk into a cafe for coffee and the staff greet you by name. It's not an easy job these people do as it's very hard work having done similar work in my past. I would just like to congratulate them all on the absolutely fantastic job they do and to keep up the good work guys and girls. It's my only place to go for a coffee and relax and long may that remain so.

A very modern and chic place for both business meetings or social encounters. An excellent selection of beer! We loved it and we strongly recommend it.

First of all it’s worth saying that with this place not open long I understand of these thing may be slightly teething problems. Secondly, the staff here are amazing. Each and everyone of them are so lovely and welcoming and I love that! My best friend and I came for brunch here and I couldn’t fault it. Second time I came today with a housemate and I think they have changed the size of the glasses they put their iced coffees in so with not enough milk they taste slightly bitter. Defo think they could do with being in a taller glass,as for the price you pay for them, they’re roughly the same size as the little water glasses. Did wait a little while for the food but it was busy so fair enough there! Still absolutely love this place and recommend it highly to everyone! See you soon xx
