We stopped off for a hot drink, lovely surroundings, very pleasant staff, even the dog had a bowl of water. Will definitely visit again
A wonderful location, a lovely building, fabulous food in a nice restaurant, but points deducted for a very noisy night, due to footsteps and doors and creaky floorboards created by other guests, barking dogs in the building, and a very noisy central heating system running until 11pm, and then starting again noisily at 7am. This is a fabulous place, but if you are concerned by noise at night, do take care.
My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at The room was luxurious and very comfortable. What made it special dugout us was the position next to the canal. We enjoyed walking on the path next to the canal and experiencing the wildlife, including swans, a hare and a stork. The lamb hotpot at supper was superb! A great place to stop on an M6 journey.
Lovely hotel in a quiet and beautiful area. Rooms were spacious and well furnished. I would definitely stay again.
Great building nicely done out. Breakfast option a little short of what was expected. Room interesting shape, in the attic with low beams, overlooking canal. Staff ok, barman very pleasant and helpful. Generally clean but leather sofa in room stained.
Really good food. Give it another try if you've been before as they have a new chef. Much better than last year. Drinks too expensive
