The Mill House is located on the water's edge opposite Holy Island in north Northumberland. Sheltered by Holy Island Causeway to the north and Lindisfarne itself to the east, the tide rises and falls quietly in the bay, the only crashing waves you'll see or hear are beyond the Causeway in the far distance.

You are guaranteed an incredibly relaxing holiday as you watch the constantly changing sea and skies from the comfort of your cottage.

Seabirds, wildfowl and waders abound, and in the autumn months huge flocks of migratory geese gather on the sheltered waters outside the Mill House.

Deer, foxes and stoats can often be glimpsed. Out in the bay (mid way between the cottage and Holy Island) seals can be heard singing on their sand bank. You can watch them with the binoculars provided.

The sweeping sea views encompass the silhouettes of Lindisfarne Castle across the bay and Bamburgh Castle to the south. Sunrises viewed from The Mill House are spectacular.
