The Millhouse Restaurant

Chose The Millhouse to celebrate a very significant birthday for my wife. The food was perfect, staff genuinely wanted to make the occasion special and the setting just lovely. This was a return visit after more than fifteen years and it was just as good last time too!

Visited few years ago this time not upto same standard food and staff average. Luke warm food on warmish plates will not be in hurrry to return .

Had a lovely lunch with friends last week. All thoroughly enjoyed the food, beautifully presented, well cooked and attentive staff. Have been before and will definitely be going back.

The millhouse restaurant is a beautiful modern restaurant with a warm and classy feel. It is located in the shadow of the Skidby windmill.
The food is always cooked to perfection, there is a fully stocked bar with pretty much anything you could wish to drink from an Americano coffee to real ale, or the more refined gins. There is also a fantastic selection of wines and champagne to choose from.
As for the staff, they always seem very polite and respectful and can not do enough for you.

Attended a wedding here. Absolutely amazing from start to finish, food, service, staff and ambiance. Faultless.

Great location, nice ambience, excellent waiting staff...all sadly let down by the food. Omelette was mediocre and slightly chewy. Chunky chips were not fresh and were soggy/greasy. Coffee was weak and cola flat.
Sandwich nicely presented but when trying to remove skewer, lost some of it on the floor.
Cola was replaced but felt as though we were complaining too much so didn't mention anything else. We won't return...hopefully it was just a one off bad day!

Food was good, staff attentive, atmosphere relaxed. Was a very nice meal with portion sizes big enough to fill without feeling bloated and quality ingredients were apparent throughout the courses in the flavours created. Surprisingly enough though, for a restaurant based in a mill, the bread was the only let down with an overly dense crumb and mediocre flavour. Value for money is reasonable.

Me and my partner had a wonderful night for my birthday meal tonight! By far the nicest food we've ever had, and the best service too! Thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening and will absolutely be going back! Our new favourite place :) all staff were so lovely and made us feel very welcome, especially a gentleman called François!! We would recommend to everyone! X

Food - foreign objects in meal, almost broke my teeth
