Just a polite note to let our visitors know, that on Monday 4th March, there will be a photo-shoot taking place in The Millstone Hare. We will still be open for business, but please be aware that there will be areas sectioned off for the shoot.

What a great place to be. Food and staff spot on. Can't wait to visit again when the sun is out and I can chill out on the patio areas. They look fantastic.

We went for our wedding anniversary and had a lovely evening. We were picked up and dropped home by the shuttle service which meant we were both able to enjoy a drink. The food and service at the pub was excellent. Would definitely and will recommend The Millstone Hare. Thank you.

Thank you all so much for making my husbands surprise birthday meal an evening to remember. With only 2 days to plan it, you were quick at replying and extremely helpful!

My husband and I visited on Friday night and made use of the collection and drop off service meaning we could share a bottle of wine.



The decor and ambiance is lovely, staff were attentive without being intrusive and the food was good quality gastro pub standard.



We'll definitely visit again, just hope the car service remains when more Southam people discover it!

Just wanted to say what a fantastic evening we all had. Your knowledge of wine was great and the canapés and cheese were enjoyed by all . Lovely to be introduced to some different wines that I wouldn't normally choose .

Just left some comments on the main page - lovely dinner Friday evening with husband and friends. Took advantage of the fantastic collection service - great choice of starter and main courses which was lovely. Staff friendly and knowledgeable - definitely worth a visit

Had the most fantastic meal, in beautiful surroundings and the benefit of a completely new pub/restaurant. Food was fabulous, presented well, served quickly and piping hot. The staff were very polite and attentive, highly recommended and will definitely be going again. Only small downside is the signs too the pub through Dallas Burston are not clear and too small, could do with larger signage.

Had our first visit tonight what a fantastic venue greeted by very friendly staff who were only to happy to explain the menu. The food was superbly presented and very high quantity. Probably the best steak I’ve tasted. Give it a try can’t go wrong here.

Had a lovely meal tonight the steak was amazing and melted in the mouth ... and summer crumble was lovely ... will recommend and come again very soon .. staff where also very friendly

Brilliant Sunday lunch today, a couple of things not available due to the popularity on bonfire night but not an issue for us and we were advised prior to looking at the menu.



Nice to see a normal menu on as well as a roast. The roast pork was so tender and tasty, crackling as it should be and not overly salty, roast pots, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, red cabbage and a stuffing ball. Gravy was really tasty just not enough for us but a gravy boat was brought out when requested.



Apple & Blackberry crumble and custard for pud which was devine.



The staff were really friendly and polite and the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant.

Been here a few times for a lunch. Last night with two friends we had a Christmas dinner which was excellent. The food is superb and the service is first class with friendly and efficient staff.

10 of us went last night for my Dads's birthday. It's is so beautifully done out inside. Food and service was great. Especially super with the free shuttle service! Thank you very much, we will all be returning! ��

The best Sunday lunch we’ve had out for ages!! They even dealt with my dad’s gluten free requests with no problem. Friendly staff, happy Dads �

A group of 8 of us ate there on Saturday night , 3 of us ordered Steak at £18 per head , it was overcooked, the chips were soggy and cold and the supposedly side salad was a limp leaf of lettuce ! My daughter ordered gammon it was like a thin rasher of bacon totally overcooked and came with 5 soggy cold chips and had to be sent back ... which is a first for our family as we don’t like to make a fuss , my husbands Sea bass was dry and only served on a bed of tinned tomatoes and olives , such a shame as the place has great potential but we will certainly not be trying again , very disappointed!

Whilst the establishment has a lot going for it in terms of the facilities and location, it’s a shame that the high standards haven’t been carried on into the level of service that is offered by your staff, particularly management.



I will be logging a formal complaint in due course.

Unfortunately we’re following the downward trend. After the debacle that was the Fine & Country event, where having paid for VIP package we were treated like an unwelcome inconvenience, we thought we’d give them a second chance.

Consequently our anniversary meal was ruined, by staff taking orders to wrong tables, and waiting an hour for a stringy steak.

Looking at all the previous posts this place is on a downward spiral.

Unfortunately I don’t rate the services today at lunch. I can’t really complain about the food however the service was none existent!!! We had get our own menus and continually go to the bar for drinks when it is meant to be table service. Had to question where are meals were on a couple of occasions. We were not impressed in our first visit doubtful we will be back!!!

Place looks fantastic, but sadly that’s as far at it goes, staff are rude, just dropped plates down on the table and walked off, I ordered my food at the same time as my fiancé and I had finished mine and complained for about 10 minutes before hers even come out, then the food she was given was wrong, I gave this place a 2nd chance after a bad experience 1st time, For all the money it looks like they’ve spent on it, it was a shambles from start to finish, I have honestly had taster burgers from a burger van, looks like all the complaints have a similar trend, another local group of people will not be returning,such a shame.

Deserves a better rating ..but due to restaurant managers lack of courtesy and manners ,this is as good as it gets.

Shame the rare steak eventually turned up 50 mins after ordering looking and tasting like ghandis flip flop,the pepper sauce was yellow water ,and the salad consisted of half a tomato 1 mushroom and a spoonful of cress

Not impressed with the delivery of our food as the young waiter just walked up and said steak, without even telling us how it was cooked,dropped them on the table and wandered off. 6 people on the tables next to us all ordered together and 2 had there food within half an hour and the other 4 waited nearly an hour for a burger and chips ,as their food had been delivered to other people instead of the whole order going out together.

What is the point of table numbers if the foods delivered elsewhere.

Some of the staff most definitely need retraining in hospitatality,but not by the manageress who was just obnoxious and blamed the mix up of orders on the till,when she inputed info when she took the orders.



Brilliant venue and surroundings, but if you want to keep locals coming back I think a staff retraining course is required.
