Well worth going the food is excellent. We got here before 5pm on Saturday night and had a 3 course meal a pint of Oxford Gold ale and a glass of wine all for £13.75. I don't know how they do it for the money but if we are in your neck of the woods we shall definitely come back. The staff were excellent to.

Great little pub, a 'real' pub! Always full of people - nice atmosphere. Lovely outside area with heaters. Used to be my local many years ago, now just pop in once in a blue moon.

User

Frequent visitors as local to us. Staff always friendly and welcoming. Food is tasty, filling and very reasonably priced. Bespoke outdoor drinking area with small play area for the kids. They had live music and fun fair on yesterday which was great for all the family. Would recommend a visit.

Food is good value for money and it's a lovely pub but when the suns out it's really busy and I think more staff is needed, we was there Sunday evening just gone and tables was full of empty glasses , rubbish and fag ends everywhere, we was there bout 3 hours and still no one collected from the tables . My food was brought out to me and still didn't clean table , it's not good , and my cutlery was thrown on the table ewwwww and I was not offered any salt, sauces etc

User

We visited this lovely pub this afternoon with their lovely seating area outside and a little park for children. Perfect summer pub! The staff was ever so friendly and welcoming. It was a brilliant day out for me and my family as we visited the kidz Kingdom (hosted on their carpark).my only fault is the food fell a little subpar.. We had a table booked at 2 and as we went to order was told we were not allowed to order until 2.30 (it was understably busy) but we had a drink and waited no fault with prices of drinks or beers reasonably priced. We then went and ordered our food and waited nearly an hour for it with no mention of a wait. When the food came out we had ordered 2 roast beef dinners.our roast potatoes were full of grease and it was all we could taste as if they had been deep fried the peas were under cooked and the carrots were tinned. Out beef was dry and almost tasted as if it had been frozen. I will visit again for drinks in the summer and sit in their beautiful seating area but I doubt I'd eat again.

User

Visited this afternoon. Lovely pub. Lovely beer garden and park for the kids. Had a fair on which was also good. Then it came to ordering food. I was extremely peed off tbh. I had a table booked for 14 of us as it's my birthday and when we order we are told we can't order till 2.30 as the kitchen is busy! Don't see why they couldn't take the order then say there's a wait. So then we go bk to the bar at 2.30 to order. Not only was we told an hour wait we had our food come out at separate times. My brother and sister in laws food arrived at 3.30 and mine and my family's arrived at 4pm. The kids were crying cause they were tired of waiting and were hungry. When my food arrived I had a Sunday roast and roasted it was. The roasts were almost black and tasted mushy and burnt and my Yorkshire pudding broke an crumbled in half it was that hard. My kids meals were fine. My partner ordered the plain burger xl which he didn't eat cuz the burger tasted in his words like rubber. Such a lovely pub and was let down today of all days my birthday where I was hoping for a lovely family meal. Not impressed.

User

Visited on a Wed. First visit there. We ordered the three cources. Took nearly an hour for our starters. Pub was busy. But would have appreciated it to be told such a wait . Had to ask for cutlery . Again after starters waited ages for our mains

When they arrived I asked the bar lady to have our desserts ready in 10 mins as we were stuck for time. On finishing our mains we Still had to wait for desserts. Anyway . Good points

Food reasonably priced. Two ladies serving were very nice. Would we go again

Only if we had a couple of hours to have lunch .

User

Absolutely love the place.

Rwal shame that the food service seems to have suffered after the referb. Not sure if the kitchen staff has changed, bit seems to be a huge problem getting food served in a timely manner.

Fingers crossed things pick up soon.

Really do love coming to the place.

User

Since the refurb full of drunk idiots that will drive the families away, food service terrible slow and running out of options. Asked for ice for my wife's pop and was given three tiny cubes because that's all they had !!!!
