Went there yesterday for dinner with the wife dinner was lovely didn’t have to wait long for it will Definitely Go again

Stayed in the Travelodge near it and had a delicious dinner. Services was amazing. Order at the bar. Gentleman served us and was very friendly. Food came out very quickly and was lovely couldn't ask for anything better. Would recommend to go to. Thanks

It was my first time visiting the Morgan, I had people telling me that I had to go. Everything was perfect! The food was delicious, one thing I was really disappointed at though was the Lemon Tart not being available, they had run out 😔 I really wanted to try it, but I had the apple pie as my second choice and that was really lovely (just wasn't enough custard). I think you should make more lemon tarts because they seem to be a favourite. Thank you to all at the Morgan and keep up the great work guys!

I recommend this pub for Sunday carvery, I like to go there often for Sunday dinner.

The staff are very nice and do a good job, the food is very nice. It's a bit clinical and sterile but I like it.

I had both Christmas day and Boxing day dinner at The Morgan.

Christmas and Boxing Day were both totally outstanding!

The food was great, the staff were totally brilliant and even though they must work really long hours over the Christmad period they were so happy, cheerful and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Can I say I use the Morgan all year round since it was built and think there have been a few managers but its always clean, family friendly and we love it!

Great night celebrating our sister's 60th. There were twenty of us, including four boys, and an elderly great-grandmother. The tables were very well situated and we were all catered for. Thanks to all the staff who were very accommodating indeed, from rearranging the seating to bringing out the rather heavy birthday cake at the end of our meal. Well done indeed!

It a cool chilled place ,a place to hang out with friends great food too

Had the festive menu. The waitress couldn’t have been more attentive, checking on everything I had ordered (even on something I had mistakenly ordered on the form) as I am vegetarian & gluten free. She is an absolute credit. I don’t know her name as she had no visible name badge but she was young with blonde hair tied in a bun at the back. She is fantastic and deserves a well earned bonus. So thank you The Morgan for a very enjoyable family evening Christmas meal.

1st time eating here and I have to say food not bad, service was good, atmosphere was nice . It was a Wednesday early evening so not as busy as I've seen on weekends . I will definitely be back

Generally the food is very good, staff are very friendly and never usually a problem but on this occasion I ordered Butternut squash steak and it was very overdone and burnt. I would still go back because every other time the food has been good.

Been a few times had no complaints its good pub grub just dont expect gourmet meals-last time we went a women at the bar reared up on my 8 year old grandson saying there was a que and shouting and pointing in my sisters face while she was holding an 8 month old baby obviously there was a row thinking back i think she was special needs the way she was acting but the bar staff seemed to think we was the instigators of the problem if you dont mind a rough crowd loads of kids and mouthy women get in there cos the foods not bad at all!!�

Well the Morgan used to be a great place to eat but last few times I have been food is worse and worse... litrally just left tgere from having a lunch cavery meat was cooked well I must give that but rest was cold and worst Potatos ever seen for a roast freezing n mushy...when telling staff they were freezing he said Oh it's because you have taken from the top �� not really the best answer to give .. then he went over to get some more I'm guessing from the bottom and we're exactly the same!!! Last time I'll be eating there waste of money oh and the Pepsi was flat n low on syrup..

We came last night as a special treat ,It was our wedding anniversary and my birthday so was a joint celebration at our table there was 5 adults in total we seated ourselves and then realised we needed to go to the bar to be served which my son in law did he ordered drinks then sat down , he then had to try and remember what everyone wanted for ordering which yes he had to go back to the bar again to pay and order.me and my husband was served our starters but we had no cutlery for this.Then we had mains everyone was not happy the chicken coujon was rock solid ,I had a carvery it was disgusting potatoes tasted like they had been reheated all the veg peas carrots and cauliflower was rock hard I struggled to cut it with my knife and the only thing that was ok was the meat but not enough.we had dessert and they were ok. Although hubby was downhearted when he got told no apple pie .The person who served us with our food was great and very friendly. Me and my husband ate here before and it was lovely that's why we came back so disappointing

Went out with sister ad mum 4 a meal yesterday as we always go Morgan’s with mum as she has Alzheimer ad we find it gd normally but yesterday food was cold patotoes were rock hard we tried complaining but all they said that it was cause they changed supplier sorry but that’s not good enough 4 me

Went awhile ago took ages to be seated and served, was served cold food and had to wait to get new food. My partner had a roast and I tried one of his Yorkshire puddings which tasted like cardboard he also said it was the worst carvery he had eaten. If I didn't think it could get worse I got a glass of coke which was so flat it tasted like a still drink. Also tried to address the staff a few times and got ignored and had to repeat myself 1 hundred times. Walked directly past the greater at the door when leaving and didn't even say thanks to us need to invest better in your staff .

We use The Morgan at least once a month.

Today we ordered 1 medium and 3 small carverys for the family and after we’d finished and were deciding on a pudding we noticed a card in the menu stack for “The Family Banquet deal” (2 medium, 2 small plates plus a sharing pudding) for £20 (£3.40 cheaper not including the £5/£6 for the pudding so nearly a tenner cheaper).

We asked the barmaid why she hadn’t told us about the offer as we’d ordered 4 similar meals and she just shrugged and said “it’s advertised”, yeah, hidden behind a stack of menus. Why didn’t she tell us about it? I have to say she looked as bored as hell with a face liked she was sucking a lemon. I’m not being horrible it’s just the best discription I’m afraid.

We then said had we’d have known about the offer we would have taken it and the barmaid said it’s too late it’s gone through the till. It would have been nice for her to offer a free or reduced price pudding but she really wasn’t interested and kept looking away from us as she’d obviously lost interest in the conversation. Terrible customer service.

Rather than order a pudding for the kids and have another drink we upped and left with two disappointed kids. We’d already overpaid so I certainly wasn’t going to spend any more.

We usually have really good service at The Morgan but today it was like going to a Witherspoon’s.

So disappointed! My husband arranged a birthday meal for my 30th.

We arrived at 7pm, We had to send our starters back 3 times as they were wrong. Waited over an hour for our mains by this time it was 10pm children were hungry and tired. We left with no dinner and a refund. The refund will not replace my birthday meal that The Morgan ruined!!!
