The Mossbrook Inn

Lovely place, didn't dine though, but the eldest gent behind the bar is in the wrong job he's a proper misery. If he raised a smile the world would probably end and it's not that he was having an off day he's been like that on every occasion that we've been in!

Me & my husband wanted to try local pubs with good food(no frozen meals) and this place was superb. My linguine was cooked perfectly and prawn was fresh and succulent. My husband had fish and chips and it was also fresh & tasty(what is that white sauce served with it? Loved it!). Service was great too. Very friendly yet polite. Would love to go back for another mid-week date night. (4stars because the portion size was bit small even for a small woman like me :)

Food good but nothing out of the ordinary for the price you pay. Portions are small. You may need to buy fish & chips on the way home, and I'm not a big eater. The waitress was very good. Bill came to £160.10 for 8 adult & 2 children's mains plus 2 children's deserts and one round of drinks. Wouldn't even discount the 10pence for cash. Said he would be in trouble? Should have reverted to credit card. Third visit but no more.

Great food, Great service. Plenty of beer on offer.
Food is second to non. Plenty of offer for everything and they even let me take my dog inside!

Great exterior with plenty of seating. The interior is traditional with a modern twist, quirky and cosy.

When presented with the bill noticed that vat was added to total. Maybe it tells you somewhere this is what they do but I think this is a little bit naughty.

Shocking! 11 of us ( inc 3 children) arrived 10 minutes early for a pre booked 3pm Sunday lunch . Still waiting to be seated at 3.30pm. No apologies from the staff. Very slow bar service too. Finally sat at the table at 3.40pm and ordered starters. By 4.25pm we were still waiting for our food! We all decided to leave and go to elsewhere. Again no apologies - in fact management came across irritated that we had decided to go! Arriving eventually at Daimons we had great service, great food and a lovely time. Big thanks go to Daimons for fitting us in at such short notice. After explaining to them our circumstances and that we were celebrating my birthday, (even though they too were busy,) the table was ready when we arrived
