User

i think the food is amazing, but just think that on the dinners there should be an option of roast or mash, and shoulnt have to pay extra for carrots and peas that should be on the roast , but apart from that opinion i think its an amazing place to eat

User

Visited yesterday for my sister in law's birthday. Absolutely delicious food. I had the breaded brie starter and the 9oz ribeye main and it is up there as one of the best cuts if meat I've ever eaten. The Longhorn IPA is a particularly nice drop too. Look forward to visiting again soon.

User

Visited yesterday for boxing day lunch, starter of mushrooms were excellent followed by steak cooked just as I like it then had the best choc brownie I've had for a busy day we all said service was very good and we had a lovely time well done mossbrook we shall return.

User

The food and drink was amazing!! The best Sunday dinner by far!!!

User

Nice welcome food great quality dogs aloud and peaceful would recommend .

User

Great staff and amazing food so happy we can walk to the best pub /restaurant in the area by far and beyond

User

Friendly staff great atmosphere and the food was excellent will definitely be returning !

User

At the Mossbrook again for Christmas lunch. As ever, a fabulous experience from the décor and the wonderful staff through to the food. We always feel at home here and it’s lovely to see the same staff visit after visit (rather than the quick turnover some places have. Says a lot about the team spirit here). Apart from eating here throughout the year, we have have had many a Christmas Day (and New Year’s Eve) meal here. Never had a bad one, but l can honestly say that this year’s menu is a triumph. The poached pear that came with the venison was amazing. Well done to everyone and thank you for making this another meal to remember on this special day. Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year and see you next year.

User

Visited with friends for Sunday lunch, my first time here, definitely needed to book as it was very busy, I had roast chicken Sunday lunch, would have liked more veg but other than that was lovely, we all finished with the crumble which was divine, wine expensive but no complaints other than that.

User

Lovely atmosphere, very good staff , nice menu - only reasons they don't get 5 stars is the description . Ordered sticky chicken. It wasn't sticky, which was slightly disappointing but it was nonetheless very tasty, and while the tomato and basil soup was okay it was a little bit 'watery' for my taste. Otherwise, lovely and I will be going back again .

User

Love the mossbrook, although went yesterday for Boxing Day- waiting staff- brilliant, little slow on drinks. The food wasn’t as good as we usually find it. The tomato soup tasted like the tomatoes were burned then blended. The turkey dinner was a little disappointing- not hot enough and a little dry. But never the less- will be returning as we realise Boxing Day is a super busy booking- and set menu. Oh also... I had a mulled wine for £5 a cup! Expensive and found it bland and weak on alcohol!

User

We came on Saturday night. We'd booked for 7.15 it wasn't busy we were told we could go straight in to resteraunt when we arrived at 7 we ordered & 25 mins later it arrived. I thought that was a long wait. I had Chicken & leek pie very nice although my beans were cold mash nice but some strange cabbage or something mixed in it. Ragoo burger had by my grandson was fine. But had to pay for bacon on top of an expensive burger. My son & partner had steaks very disappointing & very overpriced. Not been here for a long time. It will be a long time before I come again. I've eaten in some top class places & not paid much more than I paid here. Poor value for money.

User

Very hit & miss. Sometimes the food is ok & sometimes it’s terrible. Very expensive too for not so great food.

How ever I do like to sit & chill in the pub side x

User

Staff friendly, food only OK. Went with a group and some of the food ordered was lovely. My lamb was so full of fat and chewy I struggled to eat it. It was also not the best flavoured lamb by a long way. Food only luke warm. I did make a complaint and was asked if I would like my meat replacing which I declined as by then I had been badly put off my food. Quite an expensive and indifferent Sunday lunch.

User

Pub lovely. Staff very friendly. Been here quite a few times now. have to say disappointed with the food this time had sticky chicken which wasn't sticky and not much chicken. Just served with fries which for £10 didn't seem a good deal. We were a party of 10 and the bill came to £258 which Is a lot of money especially when most of us where complaining about the portion sizes. 1 of our party had the sea bass which was served with 4 tiny chunks of potato and a bit of spinach for £17. It was a friends leaving party so no one wanted to make a fuss. Would I come again probably not.

User

After waiting 50 minutes for our table my daughter went and asked how long our table would be to be told your guess is as good as mine the man behind the bar has a serious attitude problem so we got up and decided to leave went to pay for our drinks at the bar no apology and our change was thrown on the bar will never go again really need to learn your staff about customer service

User

Think they may benefit from some customer service training...( staff were verging on being rude).

We were absolutely disgusted to hear the family on the next table ask if they had a carrot for their dog to chew whilst they had their meal. They fetched the dog a carrot but announced that they would be charged £1 for it..the family had already spent over £100 on food and drink..a pound????

Our beef had more fat on it than meat and my grandson had to wait 30 mins for mini burger and chips!!!

We also had to move our plates to another table before our next course came because no one else did........

This was our first and last visit, which is really sad because it looked a lovely place.

User

My wife and I went for tea yesterday but disappointed food was nice but not a lot on the plate looked more like a starter than a main, then I had to go and ask where our desert was after 20 minutes of waiting (it wasn't busy) I was told we will just go and find it, 5 minutes later it arrived.

Must do better Mosbrook, we will not be rushing back!!

User

Lacklustre meal, undercooked starter, indifferent service, gave us the wrong wine. Overpriced for what we received.
