I need to say a huge #thankyou to all the wonderful people who helped keep the shop open while I was in hospital. You're all amazing people and your help and friendship is very much appreciated. We're really pleased to be the proud guardians of a set of @boomerangbags for any customers to use if they find themselves out and about but with no shopping bag when you could really do with one. Made by a community of volunteers from donated good quality fabrics that would otherwise be thrown 'away'. Such a great idea! You can take a bag to use with a £2 deposit and if you bring it back you can get it back or, if you choose to keep it to reuse as your regular shopping bag then we split your £2 between @oakhavenmatters and the volunteers to help cover their thread and equipment costs. WE NEED YOUR JARS! In an attempt to help further reduce the waste produced from shopping we'd like to have a stash of recycled glass jars for our customers who have forgotten theirs. If you have any glass jars with lids that you don't want (jam/ pasta sauces/ marmalade etc...) please bring them in so they can have a new life!
