Visited this wee hidden gem for a quiet meal with my family recently. What an amazing spot, the menu delivers everything it promises and more and the staff were friendly and helpful as could be.! I ordered the venison and it was one of the best I've ever had, such good value too. Will definitely be back for more again soon!

If you are looking for excellent homemade food in Saddleworth then this is the place to go! Fabulous service as always! I used to work at The Navigation a few years ago and I always love going back! The new re-furb looks great - it still shows off the original character of the pub. Cannot wait to go back already! Yum yum!

Gone regularly for the past few years even before the refurbishment. I can honestly say I have never had an off meal..the food is so taste and plenty of it. My favourite is the chicken and dumplings stew... would recomend the Navvy to anyone. . Sue and her staff are brilliant.

Food was amazing, good portions and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Deffo visit again.

Called in on the off chance that we could get a table, at about 5:25 Friday evening, thankfully the landlady accommodated us. We've not been for about 25 years and came on recommendation. We were not disappointed, lovely surroundings and the food was outstanding, my husband had venison and I had smoked haddock, both absolutely gorgeous, followed by the most divine sticky toffee pudding I have ever eaten. Will definitely be back and next time we will book, wouldn't want to be disappointed.

Been to the Navi on several occasions now and it’s always 5 star but last night the food was even nicer, Great food, great staff, nice variety of Gins � And the Basket of goodies in the ladies to use like hair lacquer, deodorant etc is such a nice little touch too x

After a long long weekend in Spain I purposely took Monday as a recovery day before going back to work on Tuesday. That in itself was a master stroke but so was the decision to go and have some real but brilliant home cooked food at the Navigation. I'd ask all my friends to recommend somewhere and Ray Wallis and others did not disappoint when they suggested here. I chose the Steak Pie with chips and veg and I cannot tell you how good it was. It hit the spot perfectly and was just what I needed to aid the recovery. Thank you Ray for the recommendation and of course the Navigation for the great food!!!
