The Navigator

Great menu, lots of choice for different dietary needs, plus the price is very reasonable. Unfortunately the standard of food is inconsistent. One day the food Is great. But then on the other, the food Is sub standard. Will go back hoping to land on a good day.

A pleasant Wetherspoons and one which has the feel of a local. The Cask beers are good but can be limited (at times) to just one guest beer. The staff are friendly and interact well with the locals. Worth visiting if one is in the Old Swan area.

Most staff very unfriendly not welcoming at all. Place needs refurbishing and toilets disgusting specially before you go into ladies went last week with husband daughter and boyfriend. We had four blips. Firstly overcharged though we were unaware it was the barmaid who came over apologizing. The next worst of all i drink lager and black and when i finished drink there was a clear plaster at the bottom of glass ugh felt like being sick. Then 2 other things after that.

The eggs were undercooked but the rest of the meal was lovely. Not sure about paying 75p extra for black pudding! There were quite a lot of uncleared tables

Standard Wetherspoon's pub - great food, themed food nights which means in addition to the full menu extra offers are available on each night. Cask marque accredited.
Huge picture windows and decorative ceiling and overall a good casual place.

Good for the sunny day drinking in the Swan. Only problem is the dying flowers on the table and the cars going passed on the main road. But smashing it pub wise

Good selection of beers. Extensive menu. Food came quickly, only waited about ten minutes. Great for lunch.

Food is nice enough. Would prefer food served on a hot plate, it gets cold too quickly.
Staff although pleasant enough, seem unenthusiastic and this is apparent to customers, and the bar staff chat among themselves too much.
Empty tables cluttered with plates and glasses.
The place also seems cold. Also, the TV, why show horse racing that had finished hours ago?
I've been a couple of times, but I can't see myself giving The Navigator any more chances.

The food was fantastic, perfect for an evening meal. Everything from a chilli dog to a 14oz steak with chips and vegatables. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the great selection of beer available, however the staff were not very friendly, with the exception of the large gentleman who brought the food to our table who was very chatty and polite.
