Went for evening dinner with my fiancé and 1 year old daughter.The service was excellent, very welcoming and friendly towards us all. Food was terrific and came out with good timing. Over all great experience for family dining. Would not hesitate to recommend.

What a night food incredible 2 lovely courses with excellent choice . Children section lovely too. Excellent selection of drinks inc delicious cocktails. We had amazing mighty would recommend and will return thank you

We visited the Nelson last year and had a lovely meal we then booked the Nelson for our wedding. We had the market with a hot buffet and a band we had our wedding breakfast in the restaurant and everyone loved it. The staff at the Nelson were amazing! Ed and Jodie were so helpful and attentive and made our wedding day the best ever. We are going back every year for our anniversary to remember the amazing day the wonderful food and brilliant staff and pub. All the guests at our wedding are still talking about how amazing the Nelson was and how fantastic the food was and it's been a year! We can't thank

We go there regular it is a great local pub restaurant with great staff and always welcome Christmas meal you is excellent.

Thank you all so much for organising Robs 60th birthday surprise. It was fantastic. Food,staff &wine all amazing nothing was to much trouble and considering they were catering for 30 people all food came together and was first class. Well done Ed and the team.

Me and my partner had a fantastic Sunday dinner today at the Nelson . Everything was perfect . The staff were very attentive and made sure they did everything to make our visit enjoyable . Would highly recommend �� 10/10 .

Just went to the Nelson to celebrate with my Mum for a belated mothers day as she was in hospital. Absolutely wonderful service + food! I've been a few times but this visit has really been wonderful. Feeling a leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel bit tipsy from a few gorgeous pornstars but absolutely wonderful wonderful wonderful service! I almost never tip but had to! Thanks guys! Xxx

Just spent a lovely few hours in The Nelson for my 70th Birthday....delicious food but what makes it special is the friendliness of the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. We have eaten here several times and always pleased with the service and food....xx

I love this pub. The food is excellent and the Blue Moon beer is fantastic. The staff are very efficient and friendly. It's my happy place.

Fantastic meal our ruby wedding

Loved it...food is brill...cant fault it

Excellent meal apart from my Father in laws gammon which was over cooked, so he mentioned it to the waiter and they took that meal off the bill. Everything else was delicious, the steak was succulent and the starters delicious. We had the 2 grills for £30 (Wednesdays only), which also includes 2 drinks and the house Shiraz was delicious. The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous and the gluten free options are plentiful. So thank you The Nelson for a lovely celebratory meal.

Called in today on the off chance there was a table free. We sat in the bar area and had an absolutely lovely meal. Would highly recommend anyone going here.

Beautiful food and the staff cannot be faulted in anyway . Generous portions for the money I left a very happy stodged man . I recommend the chicken skewers as a starter
