We have just returned from the New Inn this morning after a wonderful weekend with Julian and Annett.

There were eight of us in our party and we were throughly spoilt the whole time.

The food was excellent, the accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Thank you both very much for all of your hard work at all times.

Warm, cozy and elegant pub. Fanstastically friend staff and well priced meals.

Took my better half away for his Birthday yesterday. I can't say enough good things about The New Inn. From the time we arrived the staff were welcoming and made every effort to ensure our stay was perfect. We had a very scrumptious Sunday lunch and spent a late afternoon relaxing in our roll top bath before having a light supper. At breakfast the service was really excellent and with food to match. Highly recommended and with the Cerne Giant nearby for a Sunday afternoon stroll to make his aquaintence what more could you ask for.

Superb locally sourced food and service was exceptional, a must visit if in the area.

So glad we stopped in for a drink today, even though it turned out to be the most expensive pint ever after falling in love with such a beautiful place and booking Xmas dinner with you (and your most stunning room to go with it)

Local to the village (I'm very lucky!) the New Inn never fails to exceed expectations. Could be a swift pint after work, an evening with friends, or a beautifully served and cooked dinner. The service, food, wines and beers are all top class. Julian and Annette are always warm and welcoming. And the decor is stunning. A beautiful building with a fascinating history, and gorgeous outside space too.

From the moment we arrived we were looked after and made to feel so welcome by owners Julian and Annette. Our room was stunning and so comfortable that on the first night we slept for 12 hours straight which we NEVER manage in our busy lives!!

The food was delicious and the steak on the first night was the tastiest I can remember eating.

I can’t recommend this place enough.

I was just on a short visit to see my daughter and it was she who suggested it was a lovely area to visit. Georgus village with a variety of walks in a postcard setting. After a good walk we went to the New Inn for a late lunch (so late we were just in time). Fantastic welcome from the hostess and although we only had a bar snack meal it was served so beautifully and was excellent . Next time I down from London the New Inn is first on the cards for a walk and looking forward to having a full meal next time. Can't stress how good and spotlessly clean and beautiful ambiance the place has. If you have not been there do try it's very much worth the effort ����������

I took it open myself to book a meal and accommodation for six of us. I am happy to say our stay and meal was a great success. We had comfortable accommodation both in the main building and extension. The meal was beautifully presented and tasty with good, attentive service. Highly recommended.

Have always had the best food, service and atmosphere eating at the New Inn. And yesterday I had the best burger I've ever eaten, followed by probably the best dessert! The chefs must be so passionate about there food to always make such delicious dishes, and the foh staff are always so friendly and happy. One of my favourite places to visit!

Had the most fantastic stay at the New Inn last night! Julian and Anette the landlords met us with a big warm welcome and smiles, we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. Annette showed us our room, the Cerne suite. The suite was gorgeous and luxurious and for me the roll top bath in the bedroom was the icing on the cake. The bed was made up of gorgeous white cotton sheets and the mattress was so comfortable. The suite was spotlessly clean with everything you needed. Plenty of choice of teas and coffees, local books of history and walks too. We stayed to have dinner, the service was first class and we were truly looked after. The food was exquisite! We started with the fresh oysters from Portland, just perfect! Followed by tempura fresh cod for me and scallops for him for starters. The presentation was beautiful and flavour was mouth watering and melt in the mouth. Our mains were the shank of lamb and the pork, again beautiful! I have not tasted food this wonderful for a long time. The quality was exceptional, I could have married the chef! We had a very comfortable night and it was lovely to wake up to the singing birds and quietness of the country. Breakfast was a wide range of choice, all freshly made by the wonderful chef! I would highly recommend the new inn. I give everything 12/10!! The best 24 hours break! Shall be back again with no doubt!

Come here to stay at least twice a year. A hidden gem. Looked after by Julian and Annette and their team. Comfy rooms and excellent food by Dean and his team. What is there not to like!
