The New Inn At Cropton Description

A traditional inn with quality fresh food from local providers and legendary own brewed from our onsite brewery. We are based in the heart of the Yorkshire Moors, an ideal place to eat and stay with our accommodation and campsite.

The inn itself dates back over 600 years; it is situated on the edge of Cropton in the heart of the Yorkshire Moors, although it is only a 5-minute detour off the A170 and only 10 minutes from Pickering.

We are ideally situated for those who would like to explore the moors, or those who would like to enjoy a quality fresh meal and a pint from The Great Yorkshire Brewery, which is situated on site.

We provide lunch and evening meals, if you would like to stay with us we have B& B rooms and self-catering cottages. For the more adventurous we also have a campsite, which is situated next door.

Whilst we pride ourselves on our traditions we are up to date with free onsite Wi-Fi, so although you may come to escape you can keep still keep in touch.

We will occasionally post offers and competitions so make sure you stay tuned.

We hope to see you soon!

Went there as we were given a red letter experience. This included bed breakfast 3 course evening meal and brewery tour with tasting. On arrival went to main bar good choice of real ales and cask beer all brewed on premises. Had lunch roast beef wrapped in a Yorkshire pud __ very tasty. Evening meal good choice of all courses and everything we had was well presented, cooked beautifully and served with a smile. All of the staff are really friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and the brewery. Tour of brewery was informative with a chance to sample beers afterwards. We were upgraded to four poster bedroom just in an annex off main car park, lovely and clean, comfy bed. Overall a warm welcome from all staff, good food and a lovely location.

We were given a red letter day experience for the new inn as a gift. Brewery tour, three course meal, accommodation and breakfast. The whole experience was spot on and would highly recommend. Lovely night away, thank you for making it so pleasurable x only downside was the starter and main course were so big so didn't get to sample the banoffi pie haha x

We stayed here for the first night of our 3 day bike ride and couldn't ask for any better. The owner was very welcoming and made sure our bikes would be secure overnight. We had tea in the pub and it was very nice so was the yorkshire lager which is brewed in the garden! We had breakfast the next day and the owner was very attentive making sure we was well fed for the day ahead. I would highly recommend.

We have just spent a lovely evening here at the Inn. The food, hospitality and of course the beer excellent. Our room was on the top floor, beautifully clean and comfortable beds. Very welcoming staff. The full English breakfast was amazing, cereal and toast too. We shall definitely come back no doubt about that. Thank you. Chris and Gail

Stayed here with the family, 7 and a toddler at the weekend. Been before but never stayed over. Top class all the way. All rooms were unique and comfortable. Bar area very nice, great beers, especially yorkshire Blackout, from brewery next door. Breakfast also lovely and every staff member was friendly and polite. Whole family loved it, we shall definitely be back

User

Red letter day brewery tour, dinner, bed and breakfast. We also had a quick lunch before the tour. A memorable talk through the brewery, with lots of tasters of the barley, wort. Then to the bar for our tasters. Room was clean and very comfortable, only downside was the dribble of a shower. Food was unprentious, good quality. Left replete and refreshed!

User

Me and the other half went on a brewery tour today. Our guide Bob was great and I found the tour really interesting. It lasted an hour which was just right. We then had our tasting tray followed by a really nice lunch. Our take home bottles are about to get an airing. Really good afternoon and we will be back for another visit soon.
