IT'S THE END OF AN ERA.....
With a very heavy heart we have to let you all know that Mr Guinness the pub dog is no longer with us. Guinness wasn't his self yesterday mostly sleeping and not hanging around customers tables as normal!! Steve took him to the vets this morning and was told he had a tumour on his prostate, even though he looked peaceful he was in a lot of pain and the best thing for Guinness was to put him to sleep. We were always asked how old he was and at nearly 13 years old he had a good life, playing in the garden, loads of attention and countless titbits from all of you. So thanks to each of you that fed him "just a little bit" of steak or gammon under the table when no one was looking ...... you made an old dog very happy. x

Because we all love our furry visitors, we're now stocking Beer and Popcorn for dogs!

Just a few photos of our newly refurbished dining room. We are all really proud of it and hope you will agree that it looks like an amazing space for everyone to enjoy. Thank you so much to Philip Gudgeon at ADG Decorating and Tiling services., Matt Phillips and mostly our parents Kath Britton and Alan Britton for all their hard work, couldn't have done it without you guys.

Huge turn out for the outdoor cinema tonight. Charlie lane looked particularly fetching singing "greased lightnin"!!! Beers and ciders all going down really well already. Hoping for some good weather for the weekend, if not there's always the marquees. See you tomorrow for more fun in the field with the WURZELS, classic cars, mowers, beer festival and kids activities tomorrow.

We just had the most wonderful meal here. Fantastic food and excellent service. Highly recommend and fantastic for those with families. Also very dog friendly too. My two boys loved the outside play area and hubby enjoyed the beer so traveling home with a very happy bunch. Many thanks.
