**** Update 3/7 : Scaffolding will hopefully be down later this week then we can all admire the refreshed paintwork etc. The grass won't be so green as when this picture was taken tho ! ****

Car park fairly clear now (big Thank You to neighbour Joe Poole for his efforts this morning).
Unfortunately the snow returned with a vengence over lunchtime so regretebly we shall not be cooking this evening.
We hope to open for lunch and dinner tomorrow (Saturday) but we'll have to see what the morning brings.

It's cold outside but the fire is roaring away already to give you a warm welcome for lunch or dinner today(and everyday!).

Went here last night (18th feb 17) to celebrate the 1st anniversary with my other half after it was recommended to us by a few friends ..food was superb and plenty of it ..cooked fresh so was hot and very very yummy ..deserts were huge too .. nice bottle of wine for me and a nice Italian lager for him ..staff were very friendly and not in your face like some other places ..very happy so will definitely return ��

We stoped at this pub by chance as we had a trailer & there was a double space right by the road,so glad we did they were busy but still had a table for two on a Saturday night ! My favourite Moretti lager was on draft & the menu was great,welcome was lovely & food superb ! We also had a desert with Marshfield dairy ice cream well worth a visit & we shall definitely visit again !

We dine here two to three times a year and have never been disappointed. If friends want to meet up, we always suggest The New Inn. Our last visit was to celebrate a friends birthday and as usual the food, atmosphere and service was very, very good.

plus older dog into the pub Food and service excellent Huge portions cooked perfectly Staff amazing and so friendly Came away planning our next visit Thank you 😁

The New Inn was recommended to us by our niece, we didn't book as we weren't sure what time we'd arrive. When we did it was fully booked � we got a drink and within 10 mins they'd found us a table and we were perusing the menu! � scampii and Gammon consumed followed by ice cream and sorbet gorgeous food and lovely helpful staff. Thank you x

Really nice old country pub with garden. Good food, good service.

Never had a bad meal there. We have been for special birthdays for the family and also big group nights out with work. Food always comes out together and is piping hot. Recommend this place to everybody who asks where is the best place for good food.

Lovely meal as usual and big portions, know not eating red meat didn't have the steak but vegetable lasagne instead, wasn't disappointed, then had the lovely homemade lemon cheesecake to die for x

Lovely country pub. Good real ale selection, plus Old Rosie cider, varied extensive typical pub grub menu with big portions of everything. Must be good as rammed on a January Tuesday lunchtime. Suggest booking if planning to eat.

I love this place lovely people great service great food xxxx we loved the place so much we had our wedding meal here back in 2012 and went back for our anniversary last night and was still amazing 😉

I had steak and ale pie with fresh vegetables the pie was delicous and plentyful

My partner had scampi chips and salad he said the portions with huge and cooked to perfection

All meals reasonably priced

Haven’t been to The New Inn for a while. The food was excellent and the portions very good. Very welcoming pub with friendly staff. Need to ensure I visit on a more regular basis

Had a really lovely stake last night on the Tuesday silly stake night , staff really nice too and were very accommodating towards my husband who had just come out of hospital and needed something nice to eat and somewhere comfy to sit , have already booked for the December menu for the festive Sunday lunch,

Lovely warming cozy place, will definitely go back for another stake , or few !!

First Time Visiting, Impressed, Had The 10oz Steak Cooked Just How I Like It Med/Rare, Portion Sizes Amazing, Followed By Toffee Waffle And Ice Cream And Smothered In Toffee Sauce, Scrumptious, Polite And Friendly Service And Looking Forward To Visiting Again !

Fab meal here on Saturday night!! (4th Feb 2017) had the mixed grill which was very tasty and a good portion. It was very busy, but we had a table reserved(actually booked only an hour beforehand but they had room for us!!) and the atmosphere was great.It was our first time visiting there, and we will definitely visit again. Had a very enjoyable evening, filled with plenty of wine drinking!! �������

Excellent meal as always. Guaranteed a full plate and top quality food served by attentive and polite staff. My favourite restaurant. Never lets us down.... A*****

Booked a table 19/4/17 8pm arrived early seated straight away fantastic service from all the staff and the food was amazing it was so fresh my scampi was still swimming lol and hot

Prices very reasonable as the portion sizes are very ample

Puddings are also amazing cannot fault this place would definitely recommend and return for another visit ���������

Lovely pub good food even though the menu has not changed in years. Always busy my only criticism is that all the condiments are in sachet form and not branded so that spoils the taste of the good food.
