Winter Warmer....MEAL OF THE WEEK! Trio of Sausage (Bramley, Honey Roast & Pork) served with Dijon mash, seasonal veg and a red wine, onion & cranberry gravy 👌 This one off dish isn't on our normal menu but will be served over the next 7 days (until 6th December) so get it whilst you can!!!

We visited this pub on our honeymoon while staying at the Forest of Dean and can only leave good comments. The staff were great and friendly, especially the lady who was serving food. She remembered us from an earlier visit and made us feel extremely welcome even with our dog. The food is lovely pub grub and we went back more than once.

This pub is fabulous 9 of us 3 dogs all seated comfortably very friendly staff and local people the food is amazing all served together at the same time all hot meals very tasty ....went back for Sunday dinner beautiful lunch ...the staff are very attentive and made us very welcome and very full up ....if you want fabulous food and lovely staff serving you visit The New Inn....

I would ignore all the negative comments left about this pub,seems to be from the same group of people anyway.This lovely pub is used by locals like myself and tourists and nobody is discriminated against.The staff are always friendly and happy to help,Sunday dinner is gorgeous and desserts are just as fab.We had a lovely Sunday afternoon enjoying our lunch in front of the fire.couldnt recommended this place more.

Called restaurant at 5pm and requested a table for 10 people, they managed to accommodate us all. Restaurant was very clean and the staff were friendly. We were seated before our reservation time and our food all came out on time. The food was all hot and delicious which considering there was 10 of us was very good. The toilets were really clean and even provided nappies and wipes for babies. Everyone was very friendly in the pub and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely go back if we were to visit the area again.

As our third trip to the Forest of Dean draws to an end (after yet another amazing stay at Forest Holidays)it is refreshing to know that some things never change...in fact they get even better with time.



We've visited The New Inn for lunch every time we've come to stay (usually in November of each year) and we've never been disappointed. The staff are welcoming, friendly and attentive. The food is amazing, all homemade, well presented and excellent value for money. The pub itself is cosy and usually has a roaring log fire which is most welcoming after a long walk.

When visiting the Forrest of Dean we all ways call in to this pub, great beer and real ales lovely food Monday to Saturday. But Sunday's is when it goes wrong called in today 02/07/17, asked for a menu only to be told they have a special menu and they have no way to serve us as they have a party coming in fine if this is the case but put a note outside telling everyone and not embracing any one

Seen loads of good reviews on here, however we have just been here and the service was poor. We ordered a starter and the mains came out first. The young server just huffed and walked away. When the starter of brie came out it was frozen in the middle, my partner poiletly said this to the young server and again she huffed and did not even say sorry. When it came back she threw it at us and walked away. When the mains came out it was very clear that the fish had just been re fried as it was burnt. When my partner paid up again the younger server was very rude.

Ok so it has a children's play area which is great but we have travelled here after a visit to raglan Park at 1pm to be refused food.. When we have a 2 year old hungry. Now we were told we had to book which we did not see specified on the page

There are so many reviews complaining about how rude the staff and owner is and you know what, they are all absolutely correct. In all my years we have never received such aggression and rudeness from the staff and owners of an eatery!! The food is ok but the service is shocking, go down the road to the Dog & Muffler instead!
