The Norfolk arms is a lovely pub and hotel and welcomes dogs, drinks not over priced and friendly staff, myself and my wife had our wedding party here after a amazing wedding in New York and could recommend the Norfolk Arms for any celebration.

User

We had the Hoisin duck wraps with salad, chips and coleslaw. Absolutely beautiful. Tasty and well presented. Very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you

User

We had a fantastic Sunday family lunch for 7 of us here today - scrummy food, good atmosphere, fantastic service - and a huge thank you to the lovely Katrina, who went out of her way to make it as enjoyable as possible for my Dad, who has dementia. Thoroughly recommended :)

User

We had Sunday lunch here after a long walk with the schnauzer club - food brilliant, service great and dogs allowed in too! Fab !

User

Stayed here last night and enjoyed the good sized room, comfy bed and lovely full English breakfast. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we'd definitely stay again. 😊 The only negative was being rudely woken up by an inconsiderate woman shouting "everybody get up" at about 6am and then the rest of her party shouting and running around! 😣

User

Proper good, hearty food. The first restaurant I've visited that brings Hendos out with your pie as standard. Will definitely be visiting again.

User

Lovely, cozy, friendly hotel. We had a wonderful meal in the evening, yes, we waited a while before the food was served but this I assume was because it was cooked from fresh. However, the wait was worth it... best pie and mushy peas I have eaten! Rooms are clean and inviting. Beds are very comfortable. Excellent value for money, would not hesitate in staying here again.

User

Lovely location, good rooms, good food and staff who are friendly, helpful and provide an excellent service. Will definitely stay again next time I am in the area.

User

Lovely atmosphere, great place for lunch- especially with my dog!!

User

Love to call here when in the area x good food good variety little more expensive than some places but very nice x good service dog friendly x x

User

Love this place, any pub that lets dogs in gets 5 stars from me and we didn't even take our own dog. Food was fab, drinks were fab and last but not least the staff were fab to. Looking forward to the next time. Thank you

User

Love the welcoming & friendliness the staff give you ,, been coming here for 2 years & had my wedding here,, beautiful hotel

User

I stayed in room 8 it was a great room. Nice comfy bed and great views. The food was excellent and the staff were ever so friendly and very hardworking.

User

Had our wedding here yesterday and words cannot describe how happy we were with the venue and all the staff especially Charlotte and Lauren for making our day everything and more that we could have imagined!! I really could not thank Charlotte enough for everything she did for us. Nothing was too much for her. Gorgeous views, gorgeous food and a great atmosphere. Thank you for making my day perfect!

User

Great place. Friendly staff and tasty food.

User

Fantastic pub on the edge of the Peak District. Fab fires, food and atmosphere. Super dog/walker and cyclist friendly! Great line up of beers too!

User

Did the local Lady Cannings plantation downhill routes early because of the heat, went the 200 yards to the Norfolk Arms where the full English was only £6.95 including copious tea and coffee.... just the job for 3 hungry cyclists, pleasant staff, good service and the food was spot on👍

User

Come here now and again with family. Food is fresh and good value. Staff extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. Visited last night and I had Salmon Nicoise, other guests had fish n chips. We asked for some changes (fussy customers ) staff more than happy to help. Food was excellent! Fresh clean food!! Thank you to all at NAs!

User

Attended the beautifully graceful wedding of my friends Allan and Julie on Thursday 29 December last week. Amazing decoration and styling in collaboration with the Lovely couple. The food and presentation wonderful as ever. And the country chapel set up in the Mayfield Room was straight out of a Romantic Hugh Grant movie. Barstaff polite and efficient as ever. 10* review..... Can't wait to be back with you in the cozy snug. An honour to attend. xxxxxxxxxx

User

As a coeliac I was delighted when a gluten-free friend told me about her excellent experience eating here. I wasn't disappointed. Lots of choice, lovely grub and friendly service, all in a picturesque setting. My dad, who is a 'normal' also very much enjoyed his food (the ploughman's lunch and 'jaffa cake' cake)

User

25 of us on our Christmas meal last night. The food was great, the service was good, and we just had a really fun night. Excellent value and definitely one to return to. Thank you. Yorkshire Rose Cycling Club

User

We only popped in for a quick drink mid walk. Nice atmosphere but quite busy. It's clear from the lay out it's a popular place for people to eat at as the balance is towards set tables. The mulled wine was some of the best I've had, well it was the first snowy day of the winter. They could do with one or two more staff to serve on what was always going to be a busy lunch time. Maybe they normally do and the roads stoped staff getting in. Anyway we think we will come back to eat, it's a fair stretch on foot but worth it.

User

My husband and I stayed at for one night on route to a business meeting. The staff were lovely, room was comfortable, breakfast was cooked fresh. I would stay again and recommend as it was excellent value.

User

I like this pub and love mushy peas, however every time I have visited in the last two months non have been available, yet they are still printed on the menu. You cannot beat fish chips and mushy peas

User

I had a great stay, good food & great beer & coffee a very warm welcome by the staff & the land lord who was most helpfull to me. I hope to stay thete again.

User

Had a great lunch today; Gammon and pineapple, peas and chips, declined the Duck egg though! Service not especially quick- food took 30 mins even though we seemed to be in a gap between rushes... Lots of staff although they seemed to mostly be tripping over eachother. Things that would have improved the lunch... more sauce pots- rather than asking us which we wanted, finding it on another table then having to ask us to relinquish the pots for another table. Also I had a great steak sandwich from you two years ago which no longer seems to be on the menu :( Atmosphere spot on though

User

Had a great 2 night stay for a wedding here. Beds/ pillows could be more comfortable. Good food & atmosphere! Definitely would come back.

User

Great stay and meal. The woman on reception/bar/everything was lovely - helpful, warm and full of banter. The room was great value for money with a brilliant view. Food was average but plentiful. We'd definitely stay again. Thumbs up!

User

Called in for the first time last night. Didn't eat but the food menu looks pretty good. Drinks reasonably priced too. Lovely pub with a decent atmosphere and friendly staff. Lovely views looking across towards Sheffield itself. Disappointedly missed the start of the quiz , think we may have done ok with that lol. Maybe next time. We will be back.

User

Booked it last minute as travelled down to take in footy match. Stayed in stable and room was huge. Beds comfy water hot and good brekkie served the following morning. Only downside was we couldn't leave til lunchtime as road closed for marathon but luckily weather was great so we were able to sit out and relaxing. Would go back

User

Always nice to come up here either walking or biking.

Staff always friendly and efficient.

Lovely surroundings and nothing too much trouble.

User

A friendly and warm welcome was given to us on arrival. Our room was spacious clean and tidy and we were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable bed. The breakfast, taken in the bar area was varied and quite ample. Overall we were very satisfied with our choice of venue.

User

The staff are lovely, helpful and work really hard, I'd give the front of house staff 10 out 10. Sadly the food was a bit disappointing. Sorry I'd love to give you all 10/10 but I can't.

User

Lovely pub and location, staff were all polite and amenable. Downside was the food was a little disappointing, my partner had a Caesar Salad which was £6.95 and Salmon for an extra £3.00. When it arrived it was basically a bed of lettuce with croutons and few cheese shavings and the Salmon on top. Very bland and very plain not exactly much of a salad. The fish and chips were ok, chips/wedges were dry and the batter very greasy but was edible. Definitely be back for the pub and location. Won't be in any rush to eat there again. Disappointed

User

The food was very disappointing... Shop bought pizzas with some goats cheer on top for £10 and a small, undercooked fish and chips! Such a shame as the views and location are great.

User

The food and service were poor..... the staff were too busy, I guess overcommitted themselves, and booked up to many tables plus an additional event in a function room.. they clearly didn't have enough staff to cope. Waited ages for food, starters came with some main meals - then waited ages again for the rest. Really disappointed and won't be going back

The two stars are for the setting -

beautiful

User

I like the pub and the food looks lovely although I’ve not eaten here before.

My friend and I ordered the roast beef today for lunch.

We were extremely disappointed as the beef was as tough as old boots.

When our table was being cleared we asked the waiter to pass this message to the chef and to also say we couldn’t finish it because of this.

We had no comment or feedback from the chef or anyone.

Very poor!
