The North Star Hotel

Superb meal great service, highly recommend it.We had Christmas Dinner and it was the best Christmas day for a long time.

I visited the north star for a work Xmas lunch the staff were so friendly helpful and nothing was a problem to them they have plenty car parking space and would be a nice place for a meal or to stay

Nice food shame they don't do proper puddings like crumbles and treacle sponge or bread and butter pudding. It's all put out on a trolly its just cakes and trifles and maybe ice cream.
We gave them a drinks order on 2 occasions during our meal and they kept turning up with the wrong drinks, don't get me wrong it is a nice place without being outstanding it's just some of the staff seem a bit scatter brained.
The prices are about average for what you get we spent around £27 a head.
Oh and there was limited choice if your a veggie.

All I can say about this hotel is that it is exceptional, Mick the chef is Michelin star standard, the staff are wonderful, the rooms are of a high standard and it is located on one of the best headlands in the British Isles. Just spent two nights at one of our most favourite places in Yorkshire - the North Star Hotel. Excellent staff and service, fab rooms, relaxing atmosphere and a superb range of gins. And don't mention the dessert trolley! Be prepared for plenty of exercise when you get home .

Great friendly service and welcome. Fabulous local food. Fish,flesh and fowl.Outstanding location near sea at North Landings. On local bus route.Yorkshire at it's best.

Superb food, staff and location. We did a 1 night stop for the rspb visit and other places of interest. Beautiful area for coastal walks.

I've been here several times over the last ten years or so, it's a very nice restaurant/bar. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff have always been friendly. It's somewhat upmarket, but not over the top snobbish either, a very difficult balance that they achieved successfully. The location is two minutes walk from North landing, so great for a meal before / after walk. It's also far enough from the town to avoid problems with alcohol that can ruin a quiet atmosphere when you want to eat in peace. I'd highly recommend it for any kind of celebration like an anniversary or larger celebration. A rough price 2016 the typical main course will cost between £10-£25 + drinks per person, and the quality has always been great, and portions are effectively unlimited as you can request additional vegetables at any time.
