The Northumberland Arms

Really enjoyed a meal here - in fact we went back for a second. Great service and some local beer as well.

My idea of a cosy country hotel /pub. Gorgeous food served by very friendly and pleasant staff. Six cask ale pumps, all as far as I know from local breweries and all in excellent condition. We spent two nights here and really enjoyed them. Couldn't fault the "Northumberland plate" breakfast, would recommend to anyone. Would love to return soon.

My family and I visited for Sunday lunch. We were seated in the back in the private area, which was a very nice surprise. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, they were all very polite, friendly and welcoming. The food was very nice, the lamb and Yorkshire puddings were superb and the turnip fantastic. We can't wait to head back to try the regular menu. Thank you

Me and my wife stayed the night. We usually stay in expensive chain hotels as that is what I thought luxury and service was. But it turns out I have been wrong for years. The service from start to finish was excellent and friendly. The room was lovely, big, clean and cosy. The free selection of loose local teas was a nice touch.
We had a 3 course lunch in the busy bar/restaurant and the food was really good and fairly priced and served in time.
The breakfast here was great too with more nice touches like including the name of the waitress on the menu.
Overall it was a great weekend and the Northumberland Arms made it. We will be back again.

The food was excellent as was the service: very quick and polite. All the dishes we ordered were rather plentiful. The selection of local craft beers was also quite pleasing.

Loved it... amazing food, welcoming staff and quick service even thou it was busy. They also gave my dog loads of fuss... defo returning
