Clean room, friendly service. The place is quiet even though it borders 2 roads, and only 10min walk from the centre.
Friendly welcome with a range of beers on tap, often sone local. Lovely menu with something for everyone. Reasonably priced, for a premium pub.

My wife and I and another couple stayed the night and had dinner as well. Cozy rooms that were well-appointed, and reasonable cost. The included breakfast was great as well - lots of choices from traditional Northumberland to Continental. The restaurant had good food and service, with a pretty wide selection, and a great atmosphere. We would definitely stay again when visiting Alnwick.
Rooms were nice but half the water was coming out the back of the shower head unless you took it off the stand and tilted towards the floor. Also their was no in-between of scalding hot and ice cold. I also slipped and almost lost some teeth as there was no traction when trying to carefully lower myself and get out of the tub. So bring some shower shoes.
Good food, good quality accommodation. Much improved on a few years ago.
Often call at the oaks inn for dinner on a sunday evening. Service is good quality of food is excellent and cant say we have ever had an unenjoyable meal. Good location with parking although this can tight when busy.
