CONGRATULATIONS JACK! 🧞‍♂️
Our hilarious pantomime comic, Jack Glanville, has performed on the Octagon stage over 200 times!
Tonight we thanked him for all the laughter and celebrated with a special presentation during our final show of Aladdin.

User

THANK YOU FROM US ALL AT THE OCTAGON 🧞‍♂️
As our pantomime season comes to a close we would like to say an enormous thank you to everyone who joined us on our magic carpet ride with #Aladdin to Old Peking. Our amazing audiences, our fabulous cast, our wonderful crew and everyone at Evolution Pantomimes have helped to make this another record-breaking year for The Octagon Theatre and we can't wait to do it all again next year, as we present the fairest pantomime of them all, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs.

User

Well what a wonderful night watching That'll be the day show! I booked as a birthday present for my hubby and he really loved it! The staff were lovely too! Just love going to the Octagon! Thank you everyone for making it a special night xx

User

We went to see Cinderella yesterday. The Octagon does the very best panto - we've been several times in the past and it is well worth the trip from Wellington. The standard is very high, the singers all have good voices and the jokes were great.

The flying horse and carriage were so realistic that my eleven year old had to keep asking if it was real. How did you do that . . .?

Looking forward already to the show next year.

User

We watched Beatnik Theatre's performance of Avenue Q last night, I was blown away by the quality of the performance and the production of the show. For a first production they have set the bar very high. The Octagon is a regional theatre that is aways managing to get good acts to perform and also letting local theater company's perform as well.

User

We came to meet Mr Bloom as part of the literary festival. The staff were friendly, welcoming & efficient. The theatre was immaculate. Good parking and great service in the cafè too'x

User

This was my first visit..it certainly won't be my last...the show "GRUMPY OLD WOMEN" was amazing we laughed till we cried...The theatre itself was lovely.staff so happy & helpful. Would recommend this to all my friends well done The Octagon Theatre

User

The Octagon is a newish theatre, the facilities suit us well as my husband uses a wheelchair, we are able to book disabled parking when we book our tickets and there is a lift to get up to the bar and the back seats in the theatre. All of the shows we have seen there have been fantastic

User

Superb venue and always keep an eye out what's on here. Usually visit at least a couple of times a year. Great facilities and parking and easy to find.

User

My husband and I love the Octagon; its proximity to a large car park, the spacious lobby, amazing restaurant, friendly staff and comfortable seating. In fact it's our favourite theatre.

However, we were very disappointed, tonight, when we went to see the Magic of Motown.

Firstly, the sound engineer needs a lesson on the difference between 'gain' and 'volume: the music was so distorted that it was difficult to distinguish which songs were being performed and made our ears pop. Add to that very obvious disharmony and, sometimes, erratic rhythm and you can imagine how relieved we were, when the interval arrived, and we were able to get out of the theatre (with the least amount of fuss) and go home.

PLEASE, Octagon - when you're presenting music shows, ask the sound engineer to turn up the 'gain' and not the volume!!

User

Love this venue. Never that far from the stage even on the back row. Wish they had better air conditioning though...

User

Love this theatre in Yeovil. We are frequent visitors as they have great shows and the theatre and staff are superb. Keep doing what you do!

User

Just returned from the pantomime. As always come away not disappointed. Staff were friendly and I wasn’t waiting long for my tickets, drinks and refreshments.

As for the show it was fantastic my daughter and I loved it. The performers and crew deserve a long break. Can’t wait to see Aladdin.

Well done to all. And a happy new year. : )

User

User

I was absolutely blown away by how good the pantomine was last night at the Octagon. The whole production was wonderful from start to end. Fabulous singing, the costumes were really amazing, especially the Ugly Sisters and the white horse and carriage actually bought a tear to my eye, really beautiful. I will remember this for a long time and look forwards to going again next year. Well done everyone involved backstage, cast and front of house.
