We're really excited to announce the launch of our Gin Club at the Old Dancer, and to welcoming Alexander Smalley from Saddleworth Distillery, home of Doctor's Favourite Gin and producer of unique small batches of spirits for a gin tasting with tasting notes. Alexander will be talking you through his range of gins and extensive range of botanicals used to create his masterpieces.
Tickets are £10 each and are available from the Old Dancer bar on a first come, first served basis.
If you wish to buy a bottle to take home, Saddleworth's gins will be available to buy on the night.

Our next Beer Club will involve comparing old European Classics to contemporary beers that try to replicate the same style - a "Battle Royal" - traditionally a fight involving many combatants that is fought until only one fighter remains!
Tickets £10 available from the bar, on a first come, first served basis.

We were lucky enough to be there for the opening of this great pub. Too many beers for one night we've been back twice since. It's great. Nothing fancy just great beer lots and lots of it, honest food and the staff are friendly and know more about beer than you do. The best thing to happen to wilmslow since lindow man.

Thanks very much to all your staff that helped make my party yesterday a great success. Your help and support was very much appreciated. Everyone loved the venue and the food. I will recommend the Old Dancer to anyone planning a party in Wilmslow.

Just had an absolutely lovely Sunday lunch which was enjoyed by everyone in our group. I can highly recommend the lemon and rhubarb cheesecake - yum!! The roast beef and sticky toffee pudding also got a big thumbs up �



If you've not tried the new menu yet, I would definitely suggest you give it a go ��

Had a really lovely Tapas lunch. Great service and really tasty tapas. Fab selection of beers and ales too.

Great beer choice. Food was good and all at reasonable price. Oh, music in the afternoon was very good although later on, all I could hear was the percussion ! Turn it off at busy times cos what's the point when you can't even identify what's playing. I'm told "it's an age thing"!

Film night was lovely. Relaxing and chilled. Great venue

I'm a big fan of the Tracle Tap in Macc and once visited its sister, the Young Pretender, in Congleton - both simple, un-pretentious, proper pubs run by friendly and knowledgeable staff and focussing on quality great beer and atmosphere. How great it is to have another now in Wilmslow! Visited last night for the first time; I'll be returning often.

Fabulous atmosphere and decoration and I know we are only talking about a panini, but it's the best one I've ever had!

Excellent selection of beers all served with best quality in mind. Visit enhanced by the nice weather and the open doors onto Grove Street

A hidden gem. I thought it was a 'vanilla' pub. If you like quality beer from around the world you cannot find better. The staff are accommodating, knowledgeable and that's enough said. The kriek on the top is the Schneider Weiss on tap: to my knowledge there is only one other pub in the North West that offers it. Superb.

There weren't many people dancing ...so I didn't dance, there weren't many people drinking tea or coffee...so I didn't partake...there were several people imbibing in RAs which I took part in ...still got the taste of an ale with a subtle citrus tang...and wanting more.
