Very nice. Excellent food and great atmosphere. Was cold in the upstairs room when we were there so wrap up warm!

We had a tasty dinner there last night, everything was just lovely, food, staff and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Very good food. The taster flight of three craft beers was a very useful way to sample more than one beer without getting fresh.

Already reviewed this but I can't rate this place highly enough. Food was exceptional and service was great. Not cheap but God it's worth it.

Had dinner here this evening, amazing service from start to finish. Staff are super courteous but not intrusive. Food is above and beyond 99% of the food establishments in and around hull including pipe and glass, star at sancton, whites of beverley & 1884 dsk. Might be slightly biased as the team just helped me propose to my future wife. Wishing Chris and the team a prosperous and well deserved future!

Excellent, moderately priced, food. Not standard pub fare; lots better. Good service as well. Range of smaller or larger dishes when we were there at lunchtime. A real find!

came to hull googled restaurant and seen the reviews and pictures .thought it looked good but very very disappointed. especially when a level 6 reviewer said it was good . IT WAS NOTstake came back rare when asked for well done more fat than meat. was not told of the two restaurant rooms upstairs. very disappointed .and left half the meal.just be aware..

The service here is great with the staff being very friendly. The beer is of a good standard with a wide available selection catering for most tastes. However, I do feel that the food menu is overly pricey. The £12 for sausage and mash charged here is certainly expensive by most standards.

Well my wife and I eat out a lot and we both loved it here. It's compact downstairs with a small bar that does serve a very decent range of drinks. Their wine is not expensive either. Now remember this is one of the oldest houses in Hull that's been converted into this fantastic pub restaurant. Upstairs is what would have been 2 bedrooms at the end of a sloping corridore which have less than 10 tables each. Toilets in the corridore which were spotless. The owner is a young chef that's worked with Heston Blumenthal and 1884 restaurant in Hull. Now this chef is unreal with his chef skills. The food was fantastic. Good selection on the menu and items not seen before by us. Brawn lollipops deep fried. Seriously tasty food. Great wine and cocktails. Highly recommended.

Very nice. All had burgers at lunch time which were excellent! Food could have come a little quicker though for overall very good.

Fantastic light lunch, mussels and steak sarnie. Delicious...

Great seasonal menu, well executed with very well balanced and interesting flavours. Exciting presentation and relaxed atmosphere and service. The Old House is literally one of the oldest buildings left standing in Hull so it has a kind of higgledy-piggledy decor to it which gives it a nice charm - certainly more authentic than many other places in Hull that are a bit try-hard London rip -off. Expect strong flavours like Yorkshire Waygu Beef, British seafood, Roe Deer and local Duck - all complimented with seasonal veg. Perfect and I will definitely be going again!
