Turned up on fathers day with no booking so could only sit outside BUT found comfortable comfortable seating

. Was able to pick from full menu and had probably the best hamburger and fries l have had for years. Well done Old Inn on one of your busiest days.

Top top night, the Silent Disco was fantastic 💃🕺, well done Annie ,Simon and team , we are so very lucky to have such a fabulous pub in our village 👍

Stopped in for lunch as a party of five with 1 toddler and baby, exceptional service and the food was fantastic. The refurbishment is absolutely wonderful especially the toilets which were superbly clean.

No one complained about our noisy daughter and we're happy to welcome her.

Definitely one for return visits. Thumbs up!!

Oh and the hazelnut brownie was to die for, best I've ever tasted - delicious.

I love the old inn, the setting is picturesque, the food is great and the garden terrace and pizzas are amazing

I have known this establishment for many a year and this current manifestation is really it's best. The transformation is significant and the pub has a traditional feel but with some contemporary styling..and offers both options for you to choose depending on your mood. My party had a traditional experience and the service and food did not disappoint. There seems to be plenty of staff and they are all well mannered and customer focussed. The food was good and the whole experience was excellent. I just wish this place was located at the olive branch as it would be perfect in that place in wimborne. I would recommend the Old Inn and would just add that be aware of cost as it is a tad more expensive than most but you will receive good service and quality. Oh and also the toilets are exemplary and we all know what clean toilets mean... So get in the car and visit the old Inn.. It's a lovely place to enjoy decent food.

Haven't visited this pub for years and wow, what a transformation. Greeted by lovely display of outside Christmas lights & the decorations inside were very tasteful. Lovely real fire inside, which added to the cosy atmosphere. Staff attentive and nice menu choices. Sampled a lovely speciality pie & mash & I wasn't disappointed. Then sampled two scoops from their vast choice of ice creams, which were very flavoursome. Never seen such a choice in a pub! Definitely will be back!

Had a Wonderful Lunch that lasted 3 hours and we weren't rushed.. food was lush ..



2nd visit didn't disappoint.. young girl that served us was so polite and helpful left before we could tip ..

Consistently great - not a one-off that you experience at most restaurants but every time we go it’s a great experience no matter what meal is chosen

Coupled with consistently professional and friendly service - loved it again this week

Arrived to a very very busy restaurant had table booked for 8pm staff couldn't have been more helpful because we waited an extra 15 minutes for the table to be cleared , was immediately told there would be a bit of a wait for the food as it was a very busy night , can honestly say the food when arrived tasted amazing , had the hazelnut chocolate brownie as a sweet 10 out of 10 very very enjoyable night and would have no trouble recommending it

We went for a light evening meal after a walk to mark the longest day. We were happy with the choice on the menu and pleased with our choice of quiche and salad.



Prompt polite service. Very touched when the young lady serving us smiled proudly and admitted to pulling her first two pints for us

Have to say we were all really cold when we came the other evening and because it was so cold our food cooled down really quickly. A bit disappointed 😔

Again, having eaten here before I expected the usual excellent food and good service. One out of two wasn't bad. The starters, 7 in our party of 8 had them and there was no complaint there. We had ordered three fillet steaks only to find there was only one available, a chateaubriand was ordered as a replacement to find there were none of those either!

The food arrived and disappointment set in. My fillet was unbelievably salty, as was one of the pizzas! There was a significant amount of salt on my chips as well, now I like salt but prefer to add to my taste, thank heavens the Stilton sauce washed some if it off.

The other pizza and the pie that had been ordered were described to me as bland by their respective recipients. Over all a disappointing experience and you'll be hard pushed to get me back there.

This is to Simon and the staff, I am absolutely disgusted of the way you behave towards my sister when she’s on antidepressants, she came to your pub with her ex partner to sort their marriage out and you threaten her made her feel like she was nothing and bared her for which I don’t know I will be taking this matter further, don’t bother replying with An apology as you’re not going to get away with it, as she’s a total state because of your behaviour I hope you and your so called staff are happy...

The food was horrible cold no taste and very over priced was like mashed up dog sick!!! the waitress who served us was very dirty and smelt funny! The landlord is one miserable idiot and he’s wife is a smell to!! Wouldn’t recommend this pub to anyone!

Sound's familiar we ordered drinks at the bar one of the drinks was eventually brought out to us stone cold hot chocolate waitress forgot the coffee she went to make it forgot and never came back forty five minutes later we left having had no drinks and the entertainment was garbage awful shame it was on our anniversary 25th August

Re 21st July 2018 - I am shocked and appalled at what I have just witnessed & experienced this evening. I never thought I would ever have to do this sort of thing but I’m so cross.



I booked a table at The Old Inn for 8pm this evening several days ago to celebrate Paul’s birthday & that Callum is back home for the holidays.



When I made this booking, which I did with ease, I wasn’t told that there was a party going on in the back garden where food being served & that there was a showing of The Greatest Showman film in the front of the pub, where again people were purchasing food & drink.



The place was packed, it was hard to park & our table wasn’t ready when we got there. After waiting 15 minutes we were then shown to a different table & we ordered our food after queuing to do so at the bar for a further 15 minutes . We never got our food. We waited a further hour, before one of the staff was finally honest with us & said that the chef could not tell us when our food would be cooked as they were so busy. The staff looked so stressed & there were a number of other customers complaining to the owner whose response was “I can only apologise”.



Why on earth did the proprietor think it was acceptable to embark on such an ambitious evening, upsetting so many paying customers & particularly the staff - they looked so stressed & were struggling to cope with the demand & the inevitable upset from the clients.

My husband left a review saying he would like to come back but I wouldn't as manager/owner was only interested in his wealthy customers

The waitress slammed our bottle of wine on the table and went off to serve somebody she knew

After reading what my husband wrote you offered us a complimentary bottle of wine

Thank you but no thank you

There's no excuse for poor service and I won't be back
