The Old Smithy is a friendly traditional pub serving real ales from St Austell Brewery and good food prepared from fresh local ingredients by our talented chef, Nigel.

Situated in Ivybridge just off the A38, surrounded by fantastic Devon countryside, with excellent transport links to some of the county's best attractions, The Smithy is a great place to stop for lunch or unwind after a day's activities.

Run for the last eleven years by Rob and Jan Penny, the pub has built a loyal following and something of a reputation as a local institution.

Our daily menu is served from 11-3 Monday - Saturday, and 12-4 on Sundays, and at other times by advanced booking. In addition, Thursday nights from 7 o'clock is our weekly Thai food night, serving the absolute best Thai food for miles around. Cooked by our guest chef Kay, this is something you simply must try!

We often have live music from local artists, as well as an open mic night on the second wednesday of every month.

Finally, don't miss quiz night every second Sunday, featuring some very entertaining categories with a brilliant atmosphere and great prizes! The next two dates are the 14th and 28th of August.
