OCTOBER HALF TERM 29TH - 4TH!!!!!!! As some of the schools are off this week and not the week before we will be holding some fun events for the kids:
Monday: movie night in owners lounge, 7pm Tuesday: bat box making with Ranger Jamie at Nature Rockz, 11am Wednesday: trick or treat, meet at owners lounge, 6pm, if you would like us to come to your holiday home please book in with me at owner services... Thursday: art and craft with a fun star, 12pm Friday: singer in the Mash and Barrel, 8pm Saturday: family end of season party, Live Lounge, 7pm
If you would like some more info please come down and see me.
These are extra events for the schools that are not off 22nd - 28th, first week is full of events such as Halloween bingo, cookie decorating, singer on Friday and ghost walk (bookable) and disco on the Saturday. You can find more info about these in your owners calendars, Cheers Scott :)

Anthony Joshua vs Alexander Povetkin will be shown in the Mash and Barrel tomorrow from 9pm, ring walks begin around 10pm. All drinks will be served in plastic for safety as this event will be very busy. Hope you all have a great weekend ...... Scott :)

Macmillan coffee morning is a week on Saturday (29/9/18), there will be cakes, games, selling tables, raffle and many more things to make us raise as much money as possible, so please come down between 11am and 2pm. Then 6pm till late with karaoke and more things to buy and more ways to raise money for an amazing charity. Thank you Scott :) there are money boxes up owners lounge and at owners reception for you to drop your loose change into.

80's fancy dress party night in the owners lounge this Saturday, prize for the best dressed table ........ so pull out your best Madonna or Freddie Mercury impression. No booking needed. See you there ....... Scott :)

Good Afternoon all,
The west side of park which is, Apple Tree Court to Cherry grove Are going to experience no signal on their TV's as we are carrying out maintenance on the TV cable. This will be back to normal in about an hour.

Colchester Dinner Dance tickets will be available to pick up from tomorrow (Monday 10th) at owners services from 9am, look forward to seeing you all there on Saturday, Scott :)

A little reminder the Owners survey is coming to you all from Tuesday 11th September.
We would really appreciate if you could let us have your feedback on the owners events, in particular the ones you loved and what you'd like to see us do again for you in 2019.
It's really helpful to be able to show the company the sort of things you support, so when we ask for funding, there is evidence to support the sums we spend.Please give as much detail as possible to the questions so... we can really understand how we can make the improvements.
One thing that always seems lacking in the surveys but always comes across strongly in the forums are your ideas. There must be some golden nuggets out there we could look at.
We promise not to take the credit for the great ideas, but how nice would it be for you to see a change come about that you knew you had asked for.
We need your positive input to make this park as amazing as it can be.

Project 'Base Camp' as we've named it is a unique Owner experience program that the team here have been busily building behind the scenes ready for launch in 2019....
Just wanted to send a couple of pics as an update on progress and to give you a flavour of what will be on offer in 2019. There may be an opportunity trial a few bits before that to test out how things work.
... Owners only, no other park in the UK will be offering this! This will be a unique experience for The Orchards before we share this idea this with the other parks.
To include:
Overnight outdoor camping - Family event Bushcraft skills Foraging Wild cooking events New activities and events that will be developed exclusively for Owners on park in this private area
Feel free to ask any questions, otherwise, enjoy the early access shots of the project as it stands today! We have identified future locations around the park that will change the way we provide outdoor activities and events forever. Next on the list will be 'Freedom by the coast'
Ranger Jamie and Molly will also be well placed to answer any questions that you may have - this is their project for our caravan owners.
Ps. There are thousands and thousand of blackberries and sloe around the park that are ripe and ready for collecting. Please speak to Jamie and Molly for any locations or foraging places where you can make use of the fruits and berries that are available to take home and eat.

love coming to orchards every weekend ,meeting up with our lovely friends and off course playing bowls xx

What an amazing experience we have had over the last few weeks with the staff at the orchards! We decided we wanted to buy a static caravan and after our first phone call with "Will Newland" the sales guy we knew instantly this was the place for us. He advised us from start to finish on choice of caravans, location, and even down to decor and decking. He was a true gentleman. He never once made the sales pitch of pushy pushy. He said he was proud to be a part of the park and it's the park that sells itself with "all" that it offers...and boy he wasn't wrong. My boys eyes are on stalks with all that's going on from archery, swimming, nature trail, the walks, the clubhouse, the arcade, the amount of play parks...and my husband was bowled over with the great security on the site. He didn't have his pass and was stopped immediately at the door to the clubhouse, but the guy was polite and friendly and after discussing our situation and showing my pass and getting hubby's issued he was more than happy to allow access. That alone makes us feel so much better for the safety of ours and everyone's children. Everyone on the site has been so friendly it's truly home from home. The only one negative thing to say is...I just wished we would have bought sooner :-) we have a lot of time to make up...thank you "The orchards team" for all that you do and long may it continue

We would just like to say a big thankyou to andy the manger in the mash and barrel for turning round our evening in the mash last night we finally got a seat and drinks ready for a nice meal with family to be told the food would be over an hour wait ,andy could see the anger and frustration on our faces and explained the situation with the kitchen but we were hungry after a 3 hours drive to the site for our weekend break . He then offered to buy us a drink and insisted we ordered our food and he would waver the bill and was very sorry on orchads behalf ,what a great manger we have never experienced anyone so helpful and understanding in there before as myself and my family have been on this site on and off for over 40 years, so a big thankyou andy once again from the coker and miller family

We have stayed at several HAVEN Sites from South Coast as far as Weymouth and up the East Coast in East Anglia and if anyone has Complaints about HAVEN ORCHARDS, they should visit another one. When we tell owners that we have our own Facilities, Owners Lounge, Swimming Pool, Gym and Spa Facilities Functions only for Owners, We are asked why we visit other Parks. Because we always get To rent the Owners Caravans, through Haven because they know we look after everything with respect. We get great accommodation and get to the places we want to visit. BUT apart from those occassions we love to be at OUR HAVEN at ORCHARDS. Such friendly Staff everywhere. Cannot recommend our staff enough.

We have been owners on The Orchards since March 2017. We moved from another holiday park, where we were unhappy and not enjoying our holiday home.

Will Newland and Rob Turner made our move seamless. We absolutely love the park. We have so many activities to do and there are some great owners events organised by Charlie. We particularly enjoy live music in the Owners Lounge. Scott and Natasha work really hard being the bar in their and are always good fun.

We are looking forward to many years on this park enjoying the facilities.

We are now on our second full season here and could not ask for a better GM and amazing team .... love it would highly recommend xx

Sadly we have just given up our caravan after 18 happy years there it was not

getting used as much now as the family are getting older and so are we and that's why we must say goodbye to Orchards

Our 1st year at the Orchards, always had vans in Leysdown, Kent. Gotta say that the staff are so amazingly helpful & friendly!! The girls in the Owners Lounge work their boots off!! Cheers Charlie & team for helping our 1st year so awesome xx

My self and my partner have been visting the orchards holiday village for many years and always hired a caravan but we have now become proud owners of our very own static caravan at the orchards , we wouldn't want a caravan any where else really , there's so much to do there but also very relaxing and peaceful , we are looking forward to many more years at the orchards �

Just bought a static caravan and waiting to use it can’t wait for many years use

Just a quick request could we please have some more sun umbrellas over at the owners pool today I counted only 12 up and working as it is peak season a lot of us bring the children and grandchildren to the pool and I feel that we could use some shade from the sun thanks for reading this

Hi rob I'm so impressed with the changes put door pool live lounge and your funstars team are so helpful my nephew has autisum and nothing was too much trouble for them he was in music kids with my two daughters lucy and tilly and for a young team so much enthusiasm. good decision who ever put then together not saying last year's team were not good thanks again from the Baker family 135 brookmead

Finally had a chance to update...



We are now in our new holiday home at the Orchards.

Vicky has been fab and we were greeted with a welcome card, prosecco and Thornton’s chocks. Snag list was done on entry (not that there was much) and yesterday while we were still unpacking the general stuff was fixed and today the electrician came and did his bit!

Wow! Is all I can say. Such an efficient service.



The whole journey has been smooth and hassle free!



So now time to chill and enjoy our holiday home for this season and looking forward to sunny days in the next.



Mark and I will pop along to Owners Lounge tomorrow if anyone is about, to say hello and meet some of you lovely lot!



Thank the Orchards!!

Both Rob and Vicki helped us immensely when we purchased our caravan at the end of August last year. Loving the Fun stars this year, the team works extremely well together and they are fantastic. Our granddaughters absolutely love all of them. The Owners lounge team are excellent, I have personally known Scott and Kayleigh for years as we once lived in Clacton. The rest of the team are also brilliant, not only very helpful but also very welcoming and informative. I would recommend anyone to become an owner on here if possible. I cannot fault any member of staff, however I would like to give a big shout of to tall Tom in the Mash & Barrell, a member of staff who goes above and beyond every time we eat there. Great team this year, don't let any of them go :)

Beautiful day yesterday, unfortunately owners pool closed again due to the pool being very cloudy and lifeguards couldn’t see bottom of pool, very dirty , such a shame because it is a lovely pool normally x

The entertainment in the Live Lounge is great but there are never any seats, the music is too loud and you have a queue 7 deep at the bar that is swimming in alcohol. If you sort this out I may use it more often. But I do love the Owners Lounge and pool. Overall the park is great.

Lovely staff, free hot drinks bar the choccy. Nice going in the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi - rather relaxing, decent atmosphere. 4 stars, always room for improvement, perhaps soft drinks could be a bit cheaper, bar that all good.

Been a van owner for twenty two years love being there and it just gets every year . My son was eight and still likes going there when he has time
