although it's the last day of the four day long weekend.. we wish you a Happy Easter Monday 🐰
As many of you have been aware we have been forced to close the pageant for the last couple of weeks. 2 weeks ago we discovered issues in the form of water damage in the floor which forced us to close as we were not sure where the water was coming from. This then lead to a full investigation which has now concluded and repair work has been underway for the last week. We are still unsure of what is to come and can not give a guaranteed date of reopening, but everything in OUR ...power has been done to try and open as soon as we can in a SAFE environment. The last thing we wanted to do was to open the pub in a half state which we feel would have been an insult to our regulars. It is the most disheartening thing to be forced to close your business and turn away customers.
We are now watching all our hard work and the effort put in disappear, which in itself is a killer for us as landlords.
We can not apologise enough but are doing everything as stated above to get the pub reopened in some fashion. I do hope this lays some answers to the questions buzzing around.

Was at a lovely wedding reception there on Saturday and back again this morning for breakfast. Staff are super friendly, food was really tasty. Will definitely be back again.
Very friendly feeling in the pub today. The Christmas decorations look amazing and the Sunday lunch was yummy. I loved the sticky toffee pudding.
This pub has gone from good to great, we are stoked to have a great place to go so close to our home. Good work Anthony and team.
Love the pageant now best it's ever been. Always something going on, the new drinks are fab and the food is nice and a reasonable price. Staff are great well done �
Just had the most amazing mixed grill! I love the food here, always tasty and served with a smile. The staff are so lovely, the atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff always happy to talk. Cant wait to come back. Thank you.
Just had a Rump with my good friend Anthony in this pub five stares it was lovely service was amazing also all in al a lovely afternoon would highly recommend well done all the staff at the pageant
Just came for breakfast with a large party of us. They were extremely accommodating, very friendly and was a joy will definitely be coming again, thank you to all the staff
Its the first time myself and my husband have been to the pageant since being taken over and i must say the food was great as well as the service and friendliness of all the staff x
Great Service lovely food and friendly staff great local pub round the corner from us. Definitely well worth the visit can't fault them friendly atmosphere and it's nice to have staff that want to listen to change menus and stuff like that.
Glad to finally see the pageant becoming a welcoming and affordable place again for families too . I couldnt fault any of the food we had for lunch today it was spot on and i wont hesistate to return regularly .it was nice to see it busy too and the staff where lovely and welcoming .
Friendly landlord and lovely food!! Nice to be in a actual pub environment instead of being in a pub( restaurant )
Four of us went for the Curry Night special and each had a different one. All were pronounced delicious. These were followed by dessert of jam roly poly for three of us and one pineapple upside down cake,all served with lashings of custard! We can highly recommend it and we will definitely go again.
Amazing staff here made my 40th birthday so special. Thank you to Anthony + his team. We will defiantly be enjoying more nights at this lovely family friendly pub!
After stopping goin to the pub after bad food and poor customer service, we returned to which was our Local after reading reviews, after a gorgeous Sunday roast and welcoming landlords providing a relaxing atmosphere we will be returning... Glad we've a local pub back and a place we want to go too....Thanks guys
With this pub only being around the corner from us & had so many people taken this over , I think it's been the best as it has been for a while. The people who have taken over this are doing their best to keep this open & taking everyone's opinions into account. The place is warm cosy & welcoming & most of all very Christmassy too , so well done Anthony hopefully this is just the start of it all
We found this pub by chance it should be more signposted the pub is lovely and the food is very nice too and the staff are polite too
The staff were lovely and friendly pub was all very clean toilets were amazing but I thought the food was poor. Luke warm and over cooked
