Painswick RFC was originally formed in 1872, with 2012 being our 140th Anniversary and the club is still going strong today.
Now based at Broadham Fields, on the A46 south of Painswick Village, Painswick RFC offer qualified coaching at all levels and encourage our players to progress. Painswick RFC field many Junior /Mini teams alongside 2 Senior teams and the occasional Veteran's team. The real strength of the club is the comradeship of those who play their rugby at Painswick RFC. We start building this team spirit at an early stage with our Mini /Junior section and this leads to many of these young players finding their way into the Painswick RFC senior sides and some onto even higher achievements with other clubs and at International level.
Through the hard work and foresight of those who played before us, Painswick RFC is in the fortunate position of being the proud freehold owners of Broadham Fields and its facilities. These include:
Two full size senior pitches.
Excellent training lights.
Junior pitches adjacent to the full size pitches.
Qualified sports physiotherapists in attendance at matches and training nights.
Six changing rooms, two shower blocks including a dedicated physiotherapy room.
Senior & Junior Scrummaging machines.
Full set of training aids and equipment.
Indoor training facilities.
On-site parking.
One of the best views you’ll see from the bar patio.
Because of the size and quality of our facilities, the Club is used to hold district events for Senior and Junior Rugby, as well as training for referees and coaching courses.
