The Patch Day Nursery

The Patch day nursery is a colourful and friendly environment for children aged two to five.

The nursery opens from 8am to 6pm and offers high quality childcare and education, which is flexible to support working parents. We provide a safe and welcoming home from home environment for your children and our highly qualified and committed nursery staff will soon help them settle in.

We have a wide array of activities to help get children ready for school whether that is Old Park Primary School or another setting. The children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum which is continued when they start school so the environment and education will feel familiar to them.

The Patch Day Nursery is designed to encourage children to explore, experiment and grow in a safe and caring environment. Our equipment and toys encourage users to learn through play- discovering new things while having fun. All of our children love our vibrant outdoor space and our allotment where they learn how to grow fruit and vegetables.

We involve parents in their children's nursery experience. Information about your child's day and their progress will be sent home daily and parents are invited into nursery to play with their children for stay and play sessions. We encourage communication from parents at any time informing us of changes at home, expressing concerns or letting us know about a child's new interests or dietary requirements.

The patch day nursery gives the children a flying start in life and makes sure that, when the time comes to move into reception, they feel ready and prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.
