Tasty, delicious food. Fish&chips better than at the seaside;)))

User

Outstanding home cooked food, warm welcome and great experience thank you! We'll definitely be back ~ providing we can get a table that is as so popular! Advisable to book for obvious reasons! Brilliant WiFi too! Thank you to the brilliant and helpfull staff 😊😊😊

User

Myself and three friends came over from Ireland for a car show at Gaydon.

We stayed in a B&B in the village and had our evening meals at the pub and a few beers sat out the front of the pub.

Great village pub atmosphere thank you

User

Myself and my partner were staying for the weekend in the village for the weekend, and enjoyed evening meals in the pub for both days.

Thoroughly enjoyed all the food, I especially loved the Barnsley lamb chop, followed with the Eton Mess and washed down with the dessert wine. We heartily recommend you try drinking the red dessert wine with both the summer pudding and the Eton Mess.

Absolutely lovely experience, brilliantly friendly staff who made us feel so very welcome, not excluding Henry . We will be back as soon as we can.

User

My parents visited on Sunday evening for their Valentines meal and they both said how excellent the food and service was! They'll be rebooking for their Wedding Anniversary next month.

User

Lovely, friendly pub. Yesterday was our first visit but it definitely won't be our last. Seating inside is comfy and cosy and there is plenty of outdoor seating too.

User

Lovely relaxing friendly people, lovely good food,

Michelle is hearing. But she is 2 world because she can communicate with Deaf people also she can sign language to Deaf people,

I am so proud of her.

She is friendly to people, and her boss mark and partner very friendly.

Thank you Julie wixey

User

Lovely little place, with a very friendly waitress, nothing was too much trouble, very relaxed good food and Cornish rattler.... we shall return.

User

I went to the Peacock in July 1916. I found the Bar Staff & villagers very Friend'ly. When I return to Oxhill I will make sure I have a Home Made Roast Dinner.!!!.xxx.

User

Had a meal here last night and absolutely loved it!! So refreshing to go to a pub where the food was amazing and the staff were so friendly look forward to going again.

User

Had a lovely meal here with a group of friends before Christmas - The staff were really friendly & helpful, the Food was delicious & fresh! We will definitely go back for more!

User

Great food whether you are there for a Sunday lunch, a special meal or for great value on a Tuesday with 2-4-1 gourmet burgers. Traditional country pub with friendly staff and locals - I can recommend the pie of the week

User

Fantastic food. Wonderful quail scotch eggs, fabulous fish main (think it was bream?) husband had lamb which was cooked to perfection and tasted devine. Sticky toffee pudding almost brought tears to dear husband's eyes.

Food is cooked to order so don't expect the five minute microwave to plate service other pubs may provide, but the care and attention to the presentation as well as the taste makes it a feast for the eyes as well as the tummy which just enhances the dishes and makes this place an utter gem to visit.

Warning: If you have bar snacks outside, a sad eyed Labrador will come and stare at you, trying to convince you (despite his rotund form) that he is half starved. He will settle for an ear scratch however with much happy wagging.

User

Excellent food in tranquil surroundings. Warm friendly staff. Great choice on the menu and wine list.

User

Booked in for Mother's day with the family and friends first time going there and won't be the last had to pick from the a set menu but to be fair there was a great choice to choose from. Would definitely recommend

User

Booked for an evening meal for two. Food was fantastic, as was the welcome we received. A great bonus is that its a dog friendly pub that love dogs, not just tolerate them.

User

A group of us went for lunch today after a visit to Upton Viva Stud. The food and service were both brilliant. We were a group of 18 and had pre-ordered the food the day before. The atmosphere in the place was very relaxing and we all chatted away happily for a couple of hours while eating our lunch. We had everything from omelettes, melts, pork, burgers, fish fingers and steak ... no complaints about any of it xx

User

A friendly, warm welcome in a lovely pub. Good food and a roaring fire, relaxed atmosphere- we love it already!

User

Had a lovely meal and great service. Friendly pub with a pub dog who looks longingly at you but you can't feed!!
