We would like to thank all the staff at Peak Edge for making our wedding day so perfect it couldn't have been better. The day was amazing and so were the team from Angela and Emma to the waiters/waitresses. The cleaners making the rooms so lovely. Anything we asked for was done nothing was any trouble. The decorations were put together beautifully and looked better than I could imagine. Me and Nathan can't thank you enough. The food was cooked to perfection please pass onto the head chef and his team the food was wonderful. The guests were all impressed with everything and could compliment the venue enough. We are both over the moon and so happy. We can't wait to see the pictures. We will definitely be back for our anniversary ! Xxx

We had an amazing stay in the Harrogate suite, which we highly recommend to fellow guests. Room service, the meal in the Red Lion, and the staff were all top quality and we enjoyed the easy access to wonderful walks nearby. Will be back again! Simon & Tara.

We got married there on the 14th April and it was amazing. The food is superb and the staff are fantastic, they just couldn’t do enough for us. All of our guests said the same. We can’t wait to come back again !

We got married here in December and would just like to say a massive thank you to Angela and her team! Our day went without hiccup and will be remembered forever.

Angela was our coordinator and looked after us and the day perfectly!

We booked for Sunday Lunch for my birthday - absolutely beautiful meal - the staff were friendly & provided an excellent service . We went with our son & future daughter-in-law who have booked their wedding here for May 2018 - the perfect & most beautiful venue

The food is to die for and they don’t skimp on portion sizes, staff attentive and focused.

Stayed here several times, also daughter and son in laws reception held here 2 years ago. Everything was perfect apart from the restaurant but not this time the food was perfect, thank you for bringing it up to a good standard. Wedding food was perfect also and very helpful staff.

Our daughter and new son in law held their wedding breakfast and reception here. Angela and her team were fabulous! Discreet, professional and organised without being too formal- Angela ensured even last minute problems, including snow � didn’t stop us from having a wonderful day. Nothing was too much trouble - thank you so much to Angela and all the staff at Peak Edge you were wonderful xxx

Mothers day lunch. 3 mums, one kid and one very happy fella. We arrived to a warm welcome, lots of smiles and with the mums made to feel special. The set menu was excellent in terms of choice and quality with a special mention for the awesome beef Sunday lunch! What makes a great eatery... well you decide. For me the staff are equal to the food and the team at the Red Lion pub are fantastic!!! The food is consistently superb to make this place well worth using spending this special occassion there. We approve!

Have stayed for two nights and a wedding. All the staff were polite and caring and helpful. The room was excellent as was the food. The wedding went very well with great organisation. They were aware of my food intolerences and adjustment to my meals just happened. All in all a great experience.

Got taken by my daughter and son in law for Father’s Day. The food was beautiful, the staff were polite and efficient, it was very busy but nothing was too much trouble 👍👍👍👍

Absolutely fabulous, from the lovely clean room with king size bed and friendly and attentive staff at the hotel to the wonderful food, staff and atmosphere at the pub. Brilliant couldn't find fault with anything.

This was a really nice place to stay. Well away from the town and situated nicely on the edge of the Peak District. Hotel was very well looked after, rooms were clean with nice furnishings. Food in the restaurant and bar were excellent and well presented. Staff were pleasant and friendly and prices were reasonable. We attended a wedding there and the staff worked well with the registrar to ensure that a good day was well organised and friendly. If there were a downside the lighting in the rooms was not perfect and the showers left room for improvement.

Attend a wedding evening event went to bar bought two drinks later told wedding party has to use a different bar same drinks £1:50 more. Seems odd wedding guest have to pay more...

Not a great experience to be honest. A warm welcome after a 4 mile bike ride, seated at a well dressed table then unfortunately all downhill from there. Service without a smile, stale bread, fobbed off & presented with a completely different order without discussion, the replacement order again substandard. First order New York Deli (pastrami, gherkin, sauerkraut, Dijon mustard) what came was stale bread containing beef, lettuce & onion with mustard! Sent back...oh sorry we have ran out of pastrami! Sent back returning with a foul smelling ham sandwich again sent back. Free desserts offered to all 6 of us, dissapointed as came for lunch not dessert. My main issue was being treated as if I wouldn't notice that I had been given a completely different sandwich! A bottle of prosecco to take away as a goodwill gesture. Management never came to speak to me direct just did it through the waitress. Waste of money chef not good business sense, two sandwiches not paid for, 6 free desserts & a free bottle of prosecco tut. Two other orders came with stale ciabatta bread with should be toasted according to my chef niece whom was sat next to me. I will never return which is a shame as my friends got married there.

We booked Christmas lunch at the Peak Edge Red Lion having been impressed at friends wedding earlier in the summer. The food was good and being our first Christmas lunch out as a family, we presumed we were sure to get a good experience for £90 a head - we couldn't have been more wrong...



Upon arrival, we were not offered the glass of fizz as promised and having not asked, I don't think we would have received it.

We were shown to our table which was nice, and after a reasonable wait, the Canapés and bread were brought over. This was immediately followed by our starters 30 seconds later. I explained to the waiter that we had not had time to eat them but he insisted on putting the starters on the table - there simply wasn't room for them and we had to rearrange and remove items from the table! After stating that the hot starters would get cold, the waiters reply was 'what do you want me to do about it, just eat your starter first'. Not the attitude I would expect!

We were then presented with our mains which both looked and tasted okay, but nothing special. We asked our server for some cranberry sauce but after 10 mins, nothing had arrived. We asked another server passing our table but after another 10 minutes, still nothing. By this point we had almost finished so gave up. When they came to collect the plates, we explained to yet another server that we had asked twice for cranberry sauce and didn't receive anything. She went to look into it... and never returned!

Then to add further insult, they charged us for two bottles of wine which we had already prepaid when booking the meal! Admittedly, when we realised and called the next day the money was refunded shortly after. I also mentioned the above complaint and was told someone would get back to me shortly, they didn't...



In short, if you are looking for a nice Christmas lunch, AVOID.
